What is the world record for the most lightning strikes/flashes in a single storm? (Counting both cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud lightning.)

And what's the average for an average storm?

Why do I feel the need to BS through most of my essays? I mean, wouldnt it be simpler to just keep it short with no BS filling?

The communist train looks awesome. Reminds me of the old trains used here, were only phased out about a year and a half ago on my route. I think we sold them to some African country.

I think they are rotting away in sidings around the country.
A pity as they had great legroom and with an upgrade would have been grand.

Are you in high school? bs'ing in papers for high school classes is perfectly natural, especially when the teachers set stupid page length requirements.

If you're in an institution of higher learning, then there might be a problem...

Upon seeing the pictures in this thread and reading the comments, it has become obvious to me tht somewhere along the line the Australian public transport system went communist.

:assimilate: Good... good...
Why do I have a thing for evil doubles?

This includes the character evil double even if not a technical one, such as Shadow the Hedgehog(yes, I will admit he is an evil double of sorts; it was part of the whole concept of SA2 to have an opponent with similar qualities yet on the opposite side), or technical evil doubles such as Scourge the Hedgehog and Evil Crash.

I just have a thing for them, I don't know why, and I always advocate for their presence in future titles after they appear.

I also like when characters get in touch with their evil side, or when bad guys turn good.
Do you have this same fascination with good doubles of evil characters? Sort of reverse-evil twins?

Spoiler :
Whatever. Shadow obviously does not compare with Sonic the Great.

Why yes, I do. I was quite eager to see an anti-Shadow during the arc where they were showing all the reverse doubles... but they never showed one. That actually is a quality I like about Shadow, his dual nature.

Whatever. Shadow obviously does not compare with Sonic the Great.

Lies propagated by the liberal arch-conservative Genesis-hugging anti-advancement-of-gaming- technology hating-of-anything-beyond-Sonic-and-Knuckles despising-3D-gameplay abhorring-actual-plotlines disgusted-by-character-personalities obsessed-with-running-and-nothing-else elite! :p

Sonic Adventure 2 is also consistently one of the best-rated and most-profitable games of the modern Sonic series, and who was the flagship character of that? :p

I further assert he was a much better villain than a anti-hero. I mean, those colors do not go well with being a good guy.

Dou-sama is also number 2 in ranking, and thus I rest my case. :mischief:

Why am I repeatedly experiencing failure in my dreams?

Spoiler examples :
Trying to fly, unable to get any altitude beyond the tree-tops; trying to get laid, but getting cock-blocked; building rocket ships to run away from troubles, but running out of fuel before even leaving the atmosphere and falling back to Earth; etc.

That's common. For example, almost 95% of dreams where you are being chased by something your don't like you will either stumble, fall, or run out of steam. I believe there was a study done on this subject the the above results, but I'm not sure.

Perhaps so many humans are righteous enough, that we all have to get in touch with our evil genius side, and thus fail all the time?

wait, what?

Despite our inherently sinful nature, most humans have enough of a sense of good(keep in mind good is subjective. :mischief:) in them, that we balance it out in our dreams by taking on the role of evil genius - if subconsciously - and thus we constantly fail.

Or maybe I just wish a furry hero would thwart all my evil plans when I'm sleeping.

Furry as in having fur or furry as in guy in a fursuit?

Excellent question post. Is this Ask TaniciusFox by any chance? :p

Furry as in having fur, of course! Evil humans are always thwarted by furry heroes... unless Sonic and Crash are humans in rather elaborate fursuits...

Well, @PE, in my dreams, it's basically relatively horrible things happening to me in the context of my daily life (I wake up at 2 PM or some such time, I forget major assignments on my way to school, everyone hates me all of the sudden, etc.) I think it's my brain trying to "burn off" excess stress produced during the day. And since there aren't any bad situations in sleep, the brain creates some.

Are video-gamers obsessed with buttons? Is it because of the console controller-thingie?

For some reason, I've been getting random itches at random spots all over my body literally every ten to thirty seconds that I *have* to scratch. It happens especially when I go to bed. It's been going on for a few months now. There's not a *single* bug bite anywhere.

Is there something going on?

Are you taking allergy pills? Some of those badly dry out the skin.
