SwissEmpire definitely played Mussolini's Italy, and possibly Italy as such for quite a while; the opportunism, landgrabbing and general upstartism is very much his style.

Insane_Panda played Bismarckian Prussia/Second Reich, IMHO. The Schlieffen Plan for one thing is typical Panda, and generally it all has a Pandaesque feeling to it. After his defeat and a BT, I think you could guess who took over.

I like to think of myself as a diplomatically oportunistic mercantile builder (that's a mouthful). So, something like modern India, possibly medieval Venice although I don't see my style in many OTL nations.

I'm an aggressive, yet diplomatic empire builder, and on the flip side, occasionally a relatively peaceful builder. Mauryan India comes to mind, as does Tang China; the Maya, too, maybe France in the 18th century, perhaps Ancient Rome... What can I say? I'm flexible.

But yes, I do agree with you. The Second Reich, and Imperial France (both Empires) are certaintly very pandaesque. I have a love for all that grandeur and spectacle as well as all that pragmatic warfare and nation-building.
