Hi my fellow civ fanatics!

I'm a 22 years old history student and a real nerd from time to time

When it happens, I have two passion: Civilization and The Simpsons! (I don't consider history or politics nerdhish)

So here's my questions to you:

1- What's your favoriye Simpsons episode?
2- Who's your favorite character?

My favorite all-time episode is a recent one:

"HOMR"
Original Airdate: 12/24/00

Homer takes Bart and Lisa to the "Sick, Twisted, and Totally F***ed Up Animation Festival" where they sample some of the most cutting edge cartoons from around the world. During a workshop, Homer becomes fascinated by an electronic device that renders cartoons from human movements called the Animotion machine. Later, he invests the family's life savings in the company and loses all their money. To make back some cash, Homer becomes a human guinea pig. During one experiment, the scientists find a crayon lodged in his brain-the cause of Homer's slow wit. After the crayon is removed, Homer becomes smarter. Soon, he discovers that being intelligent doesn't make people like you any more. He decides to return the crayon to his brain and become his old self again. Lisa is disappointed to lose the new, smarter Homer, however she knows that he's wise enough to continue loving her.

My favorite character, besides Homer of coure (that's the easy choice, everyone loves that fat guy!) is Ralph "My cat's breath smells like cat food" Wiggum. I just can't get enough of the little moron :jump:

Well, it's been sort of done before. Still, it's the Simpsons, so that's okay.

I like the Comic Shop Guy, because he was obviously based totally on my friend Darren who lives in Florida. Darren is the live version of CSG.

Favorite episode is the one where CSG is 'The Collector' and kidnaps Lucy Lawless.

"Omigod!! You've removed the lightsaber from its original wrapping, it's now worthless as a collectible!"

"Egad! What have I done!?"

My favorite episode is the one where Lisa becomes a vegetarian. That video they show in class where Troy McClure takes that kid on a tour of the slaughterhouse is absolutely the funniest thing.

Mayor Quimby is probably my favorite character...

"Thank you Fat Tony. However, in the future, I would prefer a non-descript briefcase to the sack with a dollar sign on it."

Or his campaign jingle:

"Without a Mayor Quimby our town would really stink,

Nah, the best has got to be Mo the barman. Especially the episode where Burns is shot and they are interogating suspects. They attach Mo to a lie detector and ask him a series of questions, after denying the murder the questions go like this:-

Police - OK so what are you going to do now?

M - I'm going to go home and read a book

(Lie detector registers "Lie")

M - OK OK I'm going to go home and read the Victoria's Secrets catalogue

(Lie detector registers "Lie")

M - The Sears catalogue

Police - you're free to go

M - I don't deserve this shabby treament

(Lie detector registers "Lie")




I probably missed out a line or too but it's still the best bit for me

Favorite Episode wise, there is too many to choose from but there are a few lines that everytime I think of them I burst out laughing.

Like the one where they go to that big rock concert, I think the episode was called Homerpoluza. Anyway where I forget who it was, could have been Frampton said something along the lines of "We have found a little girl, if she is not claimed in half an hour she will become property of blockbuster entertainment."

Or "Theres 3 ways to do things The right wy, the wrong way, and the Max power way." "Isn't that the just the wrong way?" "Yeah but it's faster."

I stole it from Johnny Mosley on a "Saturday night live" re-run last week! Damn! My secret's out! I'm not that funny! What a poseur! I really think it is a great quote thought...

German boss: "We regret to inform you of the following layoffs, which I will read in alphabetical order. Simpson, Homer. That is all".

Character is tough. Professor Frink was my fav for a long time so I will stick with him. "Professor Frink, Professor Frink, he makes you laugh, he makes you think, and then the thing... ohh, those monkeys are going to pay!"

My favorite character is Dr. Marvin Monroe. He should not be dead. Bring him back!

MY favorite character is definitely Groundskeeper Willie:

"Now the kilt was only for day-to-day wear. In battle, we donned a full-length ball gown covered in sequins! The idea was to blind the enemy with lechery!"

I can't really decide which episode is my favorite. I like the Mr. Sparkle one, and the one where they become the Thompsons to hide from Sideshow Bob.

Hey Laro...I truly am a Simsons fanatic and I know Dr.Marvin Monroe is dead but can you tell me how it happenned? I know he's dead because of the trivia game in the famous "138th episode" hosted by Troy MacLure... But I don't remember what happenned...

I really don't know. I think they only decided to make him disappear because he really sucked.

The crazy doctor and the other one (the black one) are much funnier.

Favorite Char : Well they're all good anyway... I'd say Krusty...

Favorite Episode/Scene : April fool episode. Mostly scenes took out of other episode... But the remake of Homer falling down the cliff while Bart wants to cross it in skateboard is so funny...

Original episode : Homer falls, gets hurt, roll to the bottom of the cliff. Get out of there with attached to an helicopter... Gets even more hurted when the helicopter make his head knock on the cliff. Ambulance hits a tree and homer fall again.

Remake : Every thing up there, but with Homer getting the stretcher on his head

I laughed so much watching this one that I was crying by the end of the episode

I think the max powers episode may be the best one. I love that song homer made up about his name, unfortunatly i cannot remember it now. Oooh also the Grimey episode. "Hey look at me! Im Peeing on the seat, but that doesn't matter because I'm Homer Simpson, Give me a raise. Now I'm returning to my workstation without washing my hands (waving unwashed hands in Homers face), but thats ok because I'm Homer Simpson.

My favorite character would have to be ... hmmm ... i dont know, lets say moe YOu may remeber that line heh heh.
