Nehru Legacy 9.5 -- The Beginning of the End, Continued
--------------------------------------------------------------
Although I've been playing
The Sims 2 since late 2004, I've only started trying to make roofs by hand this week. (The game has an auto-roofs tool.) This house, which Isabella will live in while I'm playing Leopold and Meadow, is my second attempt. It's a little strange because I tried to combine styles: I wanted that middle piece to connect smoothly with the rest of the house's roof, but it didn't work so I extended the walls, added platforms on top of the walls, and then covered it with brick and concrete.
King Leopold and Queen Meadow were fairly boring, living in the family manor all by themselves. I literally can't tell you what happened the first four days, since I told them to meditate and then went away to read, figuring I'd finish
The Third Chimpanzee while the game ran. I didn't anticipate falling asleep, but I woke up before five days had passed in-game.
On the fifth day, Meadow finished all of her skills -- a fantastic accomplishment given that I didn't let her use thinking helmets. (The aspiration points needed for those are reserved for skilling teenagers.)
The King is now an elder...with an amusing beard.
Being an information overlord doesn't pay much, so Meadow transfers into another career (tech administration) before she ages up. It uses the same icon as the Sims1 hacker career.
Leopold doesn't too much like being king, I take it...
For some reason, someone left three huge piles of garbage on the lawn. I didn't notice it, and so the side lawn was littered with roaches. These are just a few.
Anticipating Isabella's return, Leopold prepares the matrimonial isle.
ModtheSims2.com is where most of my custom content comes from.
....annnnnnnnd Isabella's back.
Here she is as an adult.
I briefly consider letting Victor keep his last name (Patch) but make him a Nehru anyway. (I have a hack which allows me to choose the last name marrying sims take: they can take their name, their partner's name, or have no name change at all.)
How were you working as a university professor when you're not even qualified to become an elementary school teacher, Victor?
Hmmmm.
I figure he'll be of more use to Isabella working inside her business empire, so he adopts attire more suitable for a salesman.
Wha -- this is just the job description with a question at the end of it!
Good thing, since if she was fired she couldn't get that job back. Unfortunately elders are locked out of adult careers.
We shall continue to sell the land until such time as the wisdom of such a decision is appreciated by the peasants of Nehru Hills!
Regardless of the consequences!
And why do these Crumplebottom people keep investing?!
She's getting paid $1337?
This was almost Leopold's wife. I like her genes, except for those blasted brown eyes...
Victor is off to sales boot camp at Wilhelm's: the woman with the wavy blonde hair is Lindsay.
The final heirs are upon us!
..huh. You know, I didn't notice I left that bowling ally in the middle of the street until looking through my screencaptures.
If I remember correctly, the final job in this career offers a fairly nice salary and few hours.
The lady Isabella spends her pregnant time painting masterpieces.
Since Leopold's underwear and pajamas are both bathrobes, he spends a lot of time puttering around in them. Combined with the beard he's amusing to watch.
...very nice, Victoria. You made your heir pee on herself. Well done.
And that "Oh, god, I'm about to die" face tells me it's time.....for the birth of Generation Ten!
