The Sims 2 | "Nehru" Legacy Challenge (Reader Participation Welcome)

Update to come on Wednesday: last night instead of playing Sims 2, I started a game as the Celts in Civ3. If it makes anyone feel better, my continent is my own, the Romans, English, and Dutch have been obliterated or reduced to island cities, and I am in a strong place to take whatever victory I want.
Nehru Legacy 10.2

Hurrah.
She wants to be Poseidon's right hand, but since her first day at work won't be for several days, I'm having her enter into another deity's service instead. It'll be practice.
Hiero has taken over gardening completely.
An interest in sports means he'll probably join the ranks of this family's many pro athletes.
What, no pointy hat? And that job description just sounds odd for Anglicanism.
(Plus, I don't think the English have moved past the magic-penis doctrine enough to give females ordination.
)
Sophia is toddling now, and she'll get ALL of her skills -- Walking, Talking, Toilet-Training, and the Nursery Rhyme.
Victor dotes on her, which is good for him because otherwise I'd probably make him move out. He's done what I needed him to do.
This frees up Isabella to help Hiero skill.
Er...pot luck. That's always fun.
I don't think it counts as saving the church money if you POCKET THE MONEY, Isabella. Once a criminal, always a criminal I guess. What's a bishop doing meddling around in a local parish church, anyway?
(But I figure it's good for the monarch to also be in charge of Nehru Hill's religious life, to keep people obedient.)
Hiero is practicing lying, which ought to come in handy when he goes into politics.
The...alrighty, then. I'm now certain that this is the user's protestant pastor career with Anglican job titles. If I ever explore SimPE, that's something I'd change.
We'll say this is where she works. (This is actually "Friedrichstadt", one of my SimCity 3000 cities. I was going for a European model, but I played the city too long last night and surrendered to commercial sprawl. I think that cathedral is a landmark from France, but I'm not sure.)

After Leopold teaches her how to study, she discovers her preferred hobby.
Megaphones sound funnier.

That was quick. Now she wants to be a Business Tycoon.
Of course, she'll groom Sophia for her potential role in the family business.
...and Hiero is now a piano maestro.

One of my least-favorite autonomous actions: butterfly- and firefly-catching. They literally shove the creatures in a jar, plop them down on a counter somewhere, and then run off to go pee or play red hands while the bugs die.
The Nehrus may live a life of power, influence, and fortune, but they pay for the privilege by relentless skilling.
Ah, the rare boot-fish, seldom seen outside of Nehru Hills' isolated ecosystem.
...I won the Headmaster scenario without even feeding him. Nice.
You know, I think Hiero's done pretty well for himself as a kid.
He grows up to be a Fortune Sim: here I compared his and his parents' features.
Now that the skilling is over, it's time for some fun!

If you can't do a high backspin shot to land a ball perfectly on a tee surrounded by woods, water, rocks, and whatever evil I can find....may the golf-gods help you.

Sid Meier's SimGolf. Maxis and Firaxis teaming up for a golf simulator. It's really fun.

Ah, the GUI has a very sims2y look.
I think there's more Will Wright here than Sid Meier. I'd think it was a Maxis game were it not for the occasional FIRAXIS blimp drifting by. Of course, I don't know what might mark a game as Sid Meier's save general quality. (You can choose Sid Meier's head when creating a custom golfer, though, as well as the heads of some generals in Gettysburg.
)For those who have all the Sims 2 expansion packs, I've recently discovered something called the "Uber-Megahood", which uses Pleasantview as a base and then includes all the OTHER neighborhoods as add-ons to it. That is what I have been doing this weekend. Some neighborhoods I've ignored completely because there weren't any interesting characters in them, but now that they can play a role in the great Capp-Monty-Pleasant struggle for power, I've actually looked into them.
Despite the allure of the Uber-Megahood, I did manage to play some Nehrus.

The Nehrus generally have high charisma because I make them practice speeches every time I catch the kids playing with the podium equipment.
Er...trust. <shrug>
And I chose well.

Agh! Getting fired as an elder is annoying because elders can't get their old jobs -- or ANY real job -- back.
She's sad, so I give her a makeover and a roll in the hay.

I always wait until winter to rake up the leaves. If you rake them up during the fall, more leaves just fall.
Once these leaves are put in compost bins, I'll have more free fertilizer (once they've composted).

Sophia's about to grow up, and I'd say like Hiero she's done well for herself as a kid.
She's very playful but lazy, which says "PLEASURE SIM" to me.
Since Leopold will be...er, "retiring" any day now, Isabella needs to get into position for succession.
Time to introduce Sophia into the line of witches. Now she won't have to sleep, eat, or anything else -- just sit down in the magic throne every once in a while.
She has a desire to be a celebrity chef.

I don't know why Victor is laying in the floor like this, but I think it has something to do with the exercise bike. Usually when someone pees the floor and then passes out in said pee, it's because of the bike. They're OBSESSED with it.
