1850 to 1860 A.D.
A surprise attack on the city of Rome has ended with Caesar fleeing the continent and his capital burned to the ground. This sudden absence of leadership has put the Roman military into confusion and disarray. Seizing the opportunity, the Sumerian 1st Army Group has smashed into the former Roman heartland, in an attempt to reach the survivors of Operation:Guillotine. City after city quickly falls to the Sumerian onslaught; each victory one step closer to the ruins of Rome. With the destruction of Veii, a clear path home is revealed for 11 paratrooper companies and the 1 marine company that have survived(the
A on the map). Emboldened by all their success, the 9th Armored Division pushed too far ahead of the other divisions and was threatening Neapolis. At this point the Romans were more organized and launched a counter-attack on the isolated 9th Armor. Roman tanks surrounded and obliterated the entire division(the
B on the map).
1862 A.D.
Foreign Advisor- My King, the Romans have begun peace negotiations with Arabia.
Military Advisor- That is bad news! Abu could potentially have access to oil again.
1866 A.D.
Military Advisor- Commander, we have secured the massive diamond mines of Baghdad.
Military Advisor- We encountered TOW infantry during the battle and the 12th infantry was attacked by Arab tanks.
King Gudea- So, is Caesar once again selling oil to Abu?
Foreign Advisor- Don't know for sure, the oil could come from Rome or Byzantium.
Military Advisor- If it is Theodora, why did Abu wait so long to procure it? Either way, once we take out a few more Arabian harbors, there will be no more oil shipments.
1868 A.D.
Foreign Advisor- The Byzantines have declared war on Rome and they have captured a couple of cities. Theodora apparently used the right-of-passage agreement to move her forces into position before beginning the attack.
Military Advisor- Looks like we will not have to watch for any more Byzantine invasions.
King Gudea- Well, at least not until we take out mainland Rome, but at that time she will actually be watching for an attack from us.
1862 to 1868 A.D.
Foreign Advisor- My King, the frequency of covert operations against us has increased recently.
Military Advisor- We lost most of our progress on the nuclear missile, but at least we won't have to start again from scratch.
King Gudea- Increase security throughout the city of Kisurra and make sure Abu's package is ready on time.
Military Advisor- Already on it, my King.
1874 A.D.
Military Advisor- The Arabs are attempting to dash past our border garrison, towards our lightly-defended interior.
King Gudea- I know it is unnecessary to ask how far they made it.
Military Advisor- Not very far, my King.
King Gudea- How many cities does Abu have left?
Military Advisor- There are four Arabian cities left, including their capital. I am also happy to report that the tactical nuclear missile is ready. The range is not very long, so we will need to construct a temporary lauchsite in range of Mecca.
King Gudea- Will it completely destroy the city?
Science Advisor- The warhead is powerful enough to destroy at least half the city and just as much of the population. We are looking into possibility of a more powerful version.
King Gudea- I've been considering keeping the remains of Mecca, seeing as how we also kept Thebes.
Military Advisor- If this missile will not destroy everything, then how will we finish off their military, when there is all this radiation from the explosian?
Science Advisor- I think we can outfit our soldiers with radiation suits and they could survive within the blast area for a short time.
King Gudea- Won't the radiation eventually kill off all the surviving inhabitants?
Military Advisor- Knowing that someone sabotaged our missile, the world obviously knows of our new weapon. The Arabs probably have bomb shelters to survive in.
King Gudea- Yes, we will have to send men in. Make sure some radiation-proof equipment is ready for the assault, just in case part of the city is left.
Science Advisor- Right away, my King.
1878 A.D.
Military Advisor- Supreme Commander, the Arabs have been reduced down to Mecca.
King Gudea- You may deliver the package to Abu. If there is anything left, I wish to keep it as a monument to a worthy adversary.
Military Advisor- I will report back when I hear of the delivery.
1880 A.D.
Military Advisor- My King, the tactical nuclear missile is a spectacular weapon! Over half of the city and it's population were destroyed. Soldiers from the 12th infantry division were then sent in, wearing the new experimental combat radiation suit. They finished off the remains of the Arab military.
King Gudea- Did Abu sign for his package?
Military Advisor- The epicenter of the blast was apparently very near the palace of Abu; He and his entire staff were incinerated. What little remains of the city has been secured and is now in your hands.
King Gudea- Good Job!! I may need another one of those special packages for ol' Caesar.
* * * * * *
Military Advisor- Here are our losses in the war with Arabia. The totals are for soldier companies and tank/aircraft squadrons.
King Gudea- As each enemy nation falls, the numbers keep getting larger. The Sumerian people have paid a great price for all these conflicts.
Domestic Advisor- The nation as a whole fully supports you, supports the wars that they are fighting and supports the complete eradication of all the fascists.
King Gudea- How long will it take to set up an operation to take on Mursilis?
Military Advisor- Long enough to refit & repair the 3rd Army Group. The 1st Marine Division & all available transport ships are already in position and ready to go. We will initiate the attack with a full salvo of cruise missiles to soften up the garrison of Kanesh.
