Why is it no one opened a thread about deliberate crash of Germanwings flight in French Alps? We have many Spanish, German and French members here, and there is a lot of things to discuss. Like how one can be locked from a cockpit if there is a special emergency code that can be applied from outside even if the door is deliberately locked from inside?

It was said in the paper that the code can be disabled from the cockpit.

For 5 mins only. But the whole thing started in the last 10 minutes.

Post a link when you're done.

No. According to wiktionary, a verbal is
A verb form which does not function as a predicate, or a word derived from a verb. In English, infinitives, participles and gerunds are verbals.

No, actually, I think that it might have had something to do with Muslims.

I mean, the crash. Perhaps French investigators did not tell the whole truth yet.

Spoiler :
Yeah, perhaps someone with a Middle Eastern haplogroup was involved.

Yes, as will-writing packs are definitely a thing. I believe all it legally requires (in the UK at least) is some preamble at the start and end, your date and signature and (I think) a witness as well.

The purpose is to defeat a terrorist: if you make a request to open the door from outside, and there is reaction from inside, then you can repeat the request, and with still no reaction you can override and open.
This is in case the pilot inside is not conscious: you can open the door if there is no reaction.
But if the pilot actively refuses the opening of the door (which is a voluntary act), then you cannot override and have no other choice than to physically break the door.
Of course, this security procedure shows all its limitations with the Germanwings event...

Yes - but it is easy to get it wrong. Unclear intentions, no executor etc.

It's super easy to get it wrong, and kinda hard to get it right.
