The Walking Dead: AMC-channel series Anyone psyched?

Right, that's the problem. That should've meant zombies, but they didn't come in. Had they gotten bored already?

I really don't sympathize with these characters at all.

Spoiler :
I got so bored of Lori's death scene that I walked away and did something else until she stopped squalling.

I like how they killed off one token black only to immediately replace him with another.

yeah that scene was acted incredilby bad as well. still the setting alone and what was about to happen made it gruesome on its own.

I didn't know zombies were so good at mowing lawns.

Notice especially the very nicely trimmed grass in the prison yard.

They did. Daryl shot one with his crossbow, which is why he didn't have time to reload to point at token black #2.

Spoiler :
He killed two, one with the crossbow and another with a stab in the head, then closed the door. It looked like there was at least one behind the one he stabbed in the head. I guess he must have opened the door again and cleared out the hallway while Oscar was holding the gun. At best it was bad editing.

Spoiler :
He did more than shut the door though. He pushed back a number of zombies in the process potentially knocking them down and buying more time.

Spoiler :
Okay, Rick, enough crazy time. It shouldn't be Carl's responsibility to name Little Ass Kicker.

I still don't believe that Carol is dead. Corpse or it didn't happen.

And glad Woodbury's finally showing some weird, but who the crap is responsible for Andrea's wardrobe? :ack:

Nice that now we get character development for T-Dog. [/everyone's comment]

I tried to get into this show but the plots were very implausible (not the zombie part, just the rest of the plot). Specifically the whole episode with the extreme racist in the first season was just stupid. And yeah, I'm with holy king, the acting was bad.

Has it improved over the really bad first few episodes?

Not much of a spoiler but
Spoiler thought process of a well developed competent character :
Michonne: "Pack your bags, time to go. I'm leaving. Come with me."

Andrea:
*packs bags, goes to gate*
*gate opens*
"Oh wait, you wanted me TO GO????? Don't give me an ultimatum like this......"

I would have tackled andrea into the gladiator arena and kill us both if we were there. Worth it.

sidenote:
Spoiler :
people on the internet seem pretty pumped about the telephone; I have no idea what it is exactly and only have a vague (possibly not true) idea of some of the prison plot.

so that is giving me more to look forward to, because this episode was a little too andrea centric for me. And by that I mean it had a living speaking andrea instead of a shambling corpse andrea.

They were willing to get rid of their most annoying female character. We can only hope that their second most annoying female character will also perish. I can tolerate Asian kids gf and blonde girl.

Spoiler :
I'm surprised the phone would work, I mean besides the post-apocalypse situation, that phone looks like it was made in the 50s.

Spoiler :
Actually I just read a spoiler on imdb about how the phone works in the comics and I'll be pretty dissapointed if they take that direction since the phone was this week's cliffhanger.

Spoiler :
It started to feel really Losty when that phone rang. I don't like that.

Big spoiler alert!
Spoiler :
The phone ringing actually takes place later in the comics. In the comics, Lori dies when the Governor raids the prison. Rick and Carl escape together. Soon after Rick starts to get these phone calls (despite the phone system being out). They are from Lori. I took it as Rick having a mental breakdown.

Do people really find Andrea that annoying?

I thought she was one of the few non-annoying characters in Season 1 and 2.
