Things not on the Internet

Daniel Lanois' electric guitar track from Sling Blade which is heard immediately before Carl confronts his father. It was left out of the soundtrack.:shake:

I can say with confidence that there are no naked pictures of me on the internet.

I am thankful.

You all should be too.

If it's not on the internet, it doesn't exist.

They need to make a new web comic showing the internet over the years.

199x=Dude, I saw it on the internet, so it must be true!
200x=Dude, I saw it on the internet, so it's probably fake!
201x=Dude, I can't find it on the internet, therefore it doesn't exist!

An insignificant chess match I played (the only 'professional/officially sanctioned' match I ever played) exists on the internet and that was played over 20 years ago and I was a low level chess player playing other low level chess players, so indeed many things are on the internet if you know where to look.

I've been looking for a time lapse video of Niagara Falls freezing but can't find one.

In 1931 Froebel-trained Hutchinson opened Yafflesmead School at the family home in Kingsley Green, near Haslemere, in which for 25 years she provided a Froebel Kindergarten education for boys and girls between 1931 and 1955. Close friend and editor Penny Hollow wrote:
"Many former pupils still have fond memories of Margaret Hutchinson and how she opened their eyes to the world around them".[2][3]

David Kynaston quoted a parent in his book Austerity Britain:
"Yafflesmead is rather like home on a larger scale... cosy, no long corridors, no bleak classrooms"

There's plenty of stuff on the B2. And loads of interior photos. But I've not found a floor plan.

I LOVE boardgamegeek!:yeah: I was able to find some gems there this past Christmas!

When I next have $900 to burn like so much kindling in the fireplace, I am gonna buy Fireball Island! and Hotels by Milton Bradley

They don't make games like they used to:nope:

The original game was called Hotel, not Hotels like this one, which also seems to have poorer paper/plastic models for the hotels :shake:

Thank you all so much. Now if I could only remember why I was briefly interested in these things.

"Yafflesmead School at the family home in Kingsley Green, near Haslemere, in which for 25 years she provided a Froebel Kindergarten"

"Froebel?" seems like a perfectly crompulent word.

I dunno... I used to have this game (the Hotels) version from the mid/late 80s? and the models were pretty boss, especially "Taj Mahal" and "President", although the models for Hotel Tycoon look even cooler... They look like they might actually be mostly plastic especially the "jungle" theme hotel... It was called "The Polynesian" in my game and was the 2nd most pricey behind "The President"

Awesome game... great childhood memories playing it... I would love to pick one up to play it with my kids.:)
