Yeah, I think I missed it too. I was expecting to see that the dog was treated better than a black women, but they never mentioned race.

But the one dog got to fly first class on the return. I doubt they would have done the same for a black women.

What makes those racist? The first link doesn't mention race at all and the second link is about dogs.

Scenario 1: a dog is put on the wrong flight. The flight is diverted
Scenario 2: a black woman goes into cardiac arrest and literally dies because they refuse to divert the flight

I don't understand what is difficult to get about this, this is an example of that Dave Chappelle joke where he says "it's so racist it's not even like real life, it's like you're watching Mississippi Burning"

How do you know that she was black? The Washington Post article doesn't mention her race or have a picture of her.

Yeah if that was mentioned, I missed it also.

Watching a doc on tv
TIL that 3-year old kids have on average every 9 minutes a social conflict when playing with or in the presence of kids the same age.
This includes faking being attacked by other children when elderly are present but not too close by !
The setting was a family house with 4 children the Netherlands with a hidden cam

Well, give them a break; they're just kids; they'll speed that up by the time they're adults.

The message was that much of what they learned in that fase would sustain throughout their lifes
Quarreling as socialising skill

TIL I learned a huge amount of Poland's notables died in a plane crash in 2010.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Polish_Air_Force_Tu-154_crash

On 10 April 2010, a Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft of the Polish Air Force crashed near the city of Smolensk, Russia, killing all 96 people on board. Among the victims were the President of Poland Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria, the former President of Poland in exile Ryszard Kaczorowski, the chief of the Polish General Staff and other senior Polish military officers, the president of the National Bank of Poland, Polish Government officials, 18 members of the Polish Parliament, senior members of the Polish clergy and relatives of victims of the Katyn massacre. The group was arriving from Warsaw to attend an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the massacre, which took place not far from Smolensk.

In addition to Kaczyński and his wife Maria, and Ryszard Kaczorowski, the former last President of Poland in exile, on board were the military chiefs of staff (army, air force, navy), the national bank governor, a deputy foreign minister, head army chaplains of the Catholic and Orthodox churches, head of the National Security Bureau, three deputy parliament speakers, Olympic Committee head, the civil rights commissioner Janusz Kochanowski, trade union activist Anna Walentynowicz, and at least two presidential aides and widely known national lawmakers (including core members of the Law and Justice party).[86][87]

Good heavens!

The potential for disasters like that is why I believe that the Queen and Prince Charles have never travelled on the same plane together.

Every large Company that I've worked for had a policy limiting the number of upper level managers travelling on the same flight.

Yes.... that's what you need to have in your policies for those Stock analyst mafia...
but was it also adhered to 100% ?

The only times we had issues was corporate conferences in the exotic places. We did one where we visited the pyramids. And there were around 400 of us and there were only so many flights into and out of Egypt close to the conference dates. We tried to spread it around from our location but it was impossible to coordinate it on all the connecting flights with our other offices. There were always jokes about it in the bars at the conference.

TIL 22-yr-old Diane Keaton was in the original Broadway cast of Hair. I honestly can't imagine her singing.

And now I have "Aquarius" stuck in my head.

Fans of action-adventure television might be as surprised as I was to learn that Victor Garber (Jennifer Garner's tough-guy dad in Alias and also straight-laced Dr. Martin Stein in The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow) was the lead in the original Broadway production of Godspell. Yes, Victor Garber is Jesus. Again, I couldn't imagine him singing and dancing before I saw it with my own eyes. And if you're old enough to remember Det. Lenny Briscoe in Law & Order, Jerry Orbach was in the original Broadway casts of The Fantasticks, Chicago and 42nd Street. So Lenny was basically Broadway royalty.

And now I have "Aquarius" stuck in my head.
Aqua's brilliant album, I hope?
Unless it's the Fantastic 5th Dimension one......

If there's any ‘Age of’ record I'd listen to it's the Age of Pamparius, not Aquarius.

In 1969 my wife and I saw it on Broadway, but we had standing room only seating. At the height of the Vietnam war it was feeding anti-war sentiments into the Broadway crowd,

I just remember it 'cause every time i went to my one Aunts house they had Oldies 1090 (an AM station) on the radio. They played this song a lot. Plus, in the simpsons, one of the shops in downtown springfield is called "Age of Aquarium"

I think it was also the first rock musical on Broadway.
