TOS Version 3 test PBEM

I have the turn but, as I have said over on the TGW thread, I'm away on business and don't have access to Civ while i'm away.

I'm back Wednesday morning so I shall be able to play the turn then.

Sorry for the delay guys.

Bomber and fighter shot by zeros above SE Asia.
Bombarded the BB Haruna (I think) from 4 to 2 HP. The BB Haruna is in a massive fleet 2 tiles straight East of Hanoi, probably heading towards Borneo.

Week 2, 1942 turn, after I destroyed the infantry army

Damm right you had to. :D

I went to alot of trouble to put that force together. If you stood your ground I would have been able to obliterate virtually anything you had left.

That's what Singapore has to look forward to.

<evil smile>

Any chance I'll get to play a turn this century?

;)

Loulong:
You should rip up every road tile on the peninsula to slow him down.

Feel free. I've got a small army of workers rebuilding everything now anyway.

Any chance I'll see a turn today?

That's beside the point. The idea is to keep you from getting to
Singapore for as long as possible, or to risk a sea crossing where subs
can pick off your transports. Every turn we have Singapore and you don't
is 100 points more for us and 100 less for you.

A brave Dutch sub spotted the Elite Jap I-32 off the coast of Saigon, and was lost, but damaged it. Another sub followed up and sank it. It appears the Japs have amassed a large surface action group off the coast of Indochina....

I am posting the Japan turn to USA on this thread. I'm working from Washington this week and do not have Dazz_G's email address with me. (I finally figured out how to get my CIVfanatic password emailed to me remotely - duh!)

Turn report:

Taiyan and Sian captured. 5 infantry killed in Taiyan from the mother of all artillery attacks followed up with 3 tanks and 2 armies. A small wave of Japanese infantry overwhelmed a Chinese Infantry and Guerilla outside of Sian. Only a single infantry unit was lost in the assaults. MGL created from attack outside Sian.

Two guerilla units were caught behind Japanese islands and executed.

A sneak attack on Pearl Harbour caught the US sleeping (again). The harbour has fallen with no Japanese losses. Midway continues to hold out where in heavy fighting a US MG battalion was killed (and a Japanese infantry lost).

The Dutch have lost their submarine near Saigon. The Commonwealth lost a transport (unfortunately empty) near Borneo. The Commonwealth also has a DD down to 1 hp near Davos.

That's it for now.

I'm still here ... I shall be playing later tonight.

Two day turnaround isn't bad for me at this time of year ... by early next week, the Christmas rush will be over for me and I shall be able to get back to playing the same day the turn arrives.

Lost a bomber over Pnom Pehn...

Good fighters you have got there !

I like to think of it as good strategic placement of defenses myself. Given how much the air units cost to build, every one I knock down means one less MG battalion or tank I have to face.

;)

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Where is the turn?

I feel a certain sense of obligation to give Eric_A some playtesting feedback, but it virtually impossible to do that in a game where we average a turn a week.

Come on guys, let's try and all make an effort to play at least every other day.
