Turn to Dazz_G.
Wrong Eric_A. Just because they weren't sitting right next to Wuwei, doesn't mean they aren't in moving distance. (I intentionally left them in Hanoi so you couldn't spot them with air units).
Here's how the turn went down. First my workers build a road, then rail on the bombarded tile near Bhuket. Then my artillery damaged the unit defending Bhuket.
Army #1 rumbles into the hill (2mps) and attacks / destroys Bhuket defender. (My armies are made up of 3 Japanese infantry units giving them 3mps). City falls. That opens up a rail line to next Commonwealth unit. More artillery rumbles up, damages unit. First infantry attack fails (my only casualty). Second infantry attack succeeds. More artillery rumbles up. Take out Commonwealth infantry on rubber tile with an infantry. More artillery rumbles up. Attack Kuala Lumpur with Army #2. City falls (destroying Commonwealth fighter on the ground). More artillery rumbles along the rail line. Bombard veteran infantry and conscript infantry outside Singapore. Army #3 takes out veteran Anzac, elite Jap infantry takes out conscript Anzac.
Move remaining force onto hill tile next to Singapore. Bombarded Singapore to see if any Commonwealth air units present (sadly no). Given that Singapore is defended only with conscript Anzac units, it will fall next turn.
Lost a bomber on a fishing expedition to damage a US destroyer in the Pacific. Shot down by air cover (which of course told me what I needed to know)......
