Toukon Nes I : The Great War

OOC: does someone really think that Ottoman Army was trained better than the Russian one? Sorry, but I speak from pure nationalism...

Because Ottomans were extremely augmented with German made stuff.

Russian military school does not need German instructors to be one of the best in the world at the time. Certainly better than Ottomans. Human wave tacitcs and whatever not you believe about the Russian Army started to happen after The Civil War. Before it was on the same level (but not the same) as top European Armies, inclu French, German and the Austrian one...

I've never heard such a load of crap in my life... where did you get this? I know quite a bit about Russian officers, their morals, conduct of war, cossaques and general conscript army. In my view this starting debate will get me nowhere so I better stop it myself. I just want you to go to the link I gave Toteone and try and find some evidence of where you heard that bullcrap.

@ emu.... well send orders then, :p i cant update the stats prior to update perfectly after so many people.

I heard that bullcrap on the history channel. Your link is rather limited.

I heard lots of stuff on the history channel. I'm afraid it't not good enough....

Communisto even if it is true, it has nothing to do with 1914 army training level.

How would their training level be high if they didn't have the equipment to train with?

OOC: guys, no need to argue, the russian training level could be higher, it came in an event to Das and he took a different option. end of case.

(it is also alt history, so no need to try to claim whos right, or whose wrong)

Victory is for those w/ the best commanding minds, the armies are not going to remain as the are for the whole game.

.........send orders

In this NES Stalin deceides over the quality of the Russian army. This thread is not for discussing the Russian Army of 1914. Open a new one in the history forum.

Will an Asian/Pacific map be made available eventually?

Story upcoming. Do not adjust your set.

Why would Asia be included? There's no fighting there (except between the Japanese and Chinese, but that's just one sided)

The history of general Joseph Jackson

tjgen02.jpg

The ancestry of the great war of independence General Stonewall Jackson, a hero of the people and the first member of the confederacy to receive the confederate medal of honor.

my.php

(ignore the dates that are in the future :p)

General Joseph Jackson was born on the family ranch in 1888 in the town of Clarksburg, Virginia (modern day west virginia). He went to west point as his father and his grandfather once had and graduated top in his class. Rumor of course has it that the educators were biased toward him due to his heritage and thus gave him inflated grade, but none can dare speak out against his family name without being lynched within a week.

Jackson's father died when he was only 15 years old, and has been managing his family's farm ever since. As soon as the call came out to go to war he was sent a telegram from the highest office of the confederate government. Eagerly donning his grandfather's former uniform and a fresh sack of lemons to eat without first peeling (as his grandfather had once done), he set off for richmond, where he was assigned the western front, and given command of the army of the mississippi....

well, the fighting between the Japanese and Chinese shouldn't start yet really. Japan during WWI just spent their time fighting germany at Shandong pennisula and the pacific isles.
