It's pretty massive in Australia. They used to put it on twice a night in primetime and get the highest ratings. It's better than the average sitcom, but it's not that good. I never understood why so many people like it.

This. I don't like it, but I don't dislike it either. Like many things on television, it tells a good story, but makes the mistake of telling the exact same story every single episode until my brain is on fire.

it's not bad, I watch it when it's on and I don't have nothing better to do (and nothing better to watch), but I don't go out of my way to watch it (or record it).

I might be a bit old school about tv shows but I definately prefer sitcoms over the 00s fad of let's-cut-a-body-up.

I agree. there is, I think, a difference between the way the characters are set up as comedic vehicles, especially if they are as grotesquely overdone like Charlie is, and the general tone of the series.

take the last decent sitcom, in my book, Friends. while Joey wasn't as bad as Charlie is they were certainly similar yet the series as a whole was not demeaning the way TAAHM is.

I just love the current advertising campaign over here for it, revolving around Charlie Sheen 'not being all that bad'.

Same, but I don't go out of my way to watch anything on tv. With hulu and such you can watch anything when you are really bored, if I am bored and something is on tv I like I'll

Probably my favorite show of the last decade.

I am currently watching it during blackouts. From beggining to end. (I am in season 3 approaching 4th)

I never understood how people could not like it.

Also Sitcoms are the best! I don't know why we stopped producing them this decade.

And I never understood the love for "Friends" It is average average average plain and simple. I never found it all that funny.

different tastes I guess. not once chuckled at TAAHM but literally had a beverage coming out of my nose at one point when watching Friends and a decent amount of lol moments.
