Two Cows: NES STYLE

just bumping this for you youngin 7th generation NESers. A little piece of NES history and some fun for y'all.

It looks as though it needs to be updated.

Das's NES: (any modern one) You have two cows, they die from radiation after von Dunkleheit has his way with the world.

Rtor Series: You have two cows, in an attempt to emulate the feats of the past they jump off a cliff (trying to show off) they are never seen intact again.

Gelion's Neses: You have two cows, after one dies the other goes to live with someone else. Then it becomes bored and goes to live with someone else, then the neighbourhood sheep gets bored and kills it.

NNES: You have two cows, they grow to be healthy and strong despite being neglected, and they win the state fair. The next day, they turn up dead.

Das's NES: (any modern one) You have two cows, they die from radiation after von Dunkleheit has his way with the world.

Not strictly true. One of them dies from the bomb exploding, the OTHER one dies from radiation. :p

ITNES: You have two cows. They sign an alliance against the third cow, sneak-attack each other in alliance with the third cow, and the winner gets killed by the third one while sneak-attacking.

Thanks for reviving this, EQ!

CapNES: Two cows make love.

Goobernes: You have two cows. One moves to Australia for the lifestyle and dies from a Russian anthrax attack. The other dies of eventual alchol poisioning from the inane amount of drinking while waiting for updates.

CapNES: Two cows make love.

More like "CapNES: You have two cows. They are trying to sign a peace treaty with the third cow and are going to war over who gets to do that."

Hmm. In my experience, it goes something like:

NNES: You have two cows. It's a pain to take care of them. You kill them out of spite.

JNES: You have two cows. They're easily the best cows around from day one, however, they get bored of living and die.

DasNES: You have two cows. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum of politics and constantly war, until one goes socialist and leads a revolution. The two cows again go to war over government systems, and eventually both are killed by nuclear missiles.

XenNES: You have two cows. They're actually quite good cows, except their mooing is often incoherent. They die randomly in the middle of producing more milk.

CapNES: You have two cows. They are apparently trying their best to make peace with a third cow, but it all falls through, and they suddenly go to war over the third cow's milk. The third cow walks away, unnoticed.

KamNES: You have two cows. Quite good cows, actually, and they produce a lot of milk--but then they mysteriously dissapear, only to turn up years later, producing milk again.

AzaleNES: You have two cows, which are quite superb. But then, without warning, they drop dead, and are replaced by completely different, but still superb cows.

ErezNES: You have two cows. They are actually good cows, but they are far too modest and say they are the suckiest cows on the planet.

Stop talking about cows, but rather about polar bears...

Although they are not domesticated to make milk...

Not bad, Cap, but I prefer this:

GoobNES: There are 2 Cows. Despite Anthrax, Nukes, heavy drinking while waiting for updates, wars, oppression, democracy, and insanity, they manage to keep going and going and going . . .

Too true, NK, too true.

I THINK, Goober, that it was Sheep who said about GoobNES, not Cap.

(that said, your NES is quite durable, but is yet to last as long as NES2 I ;) )

das, I thought Goober's NES past NES2 I a while ago. O.o

It definantly has in page number, I think. How may updates did NES2 I have?

It started in 1901, I think. 1 turn=1 year. If memory doesn't betray me, it lasted into the late twenties. Which was when a certain person named von Dunkelheit... But I needn't tell you, you were I think one of those blown up. ;)

Yes, alas, in page number Goober outran me. His updates are much longer and more detailed, that and the people there post much longer treaties. Times have changed, haven't they?

ADD: NES2 I posts 2409. Post #2409 was made by Capulet, incidentally. The last update was either 25 or 26, Goober's current update is #18, no?

Goober started in 62, went until 69 and then from 80 until 84 with 6 month updates, so that makes 22, not quite up to NES2 I but getting there

I think its on page 8 or somewhere around it.

Request granted. The maps there are horrible (i.e. small amount of rivers while cities are way off) and the casualties MIGHT seem unrealistic, but IMHO its worth a read, both the updates and the player stories.

That was a good NES indeed.
