Ultimate Civ Tourny!!

sounds great to me, narz ;)... one request tho... can we make a rule for the new game, that in case there will be indeed a one-time substitute playing for a regular player, that that substitute keeps agreements made by regular?... or is that too far-fedged?... let me know...
:)mignonne:)

I am good to go with what ever the majority decides. But, as I stated before, I'm just not sure how well my machine will host at 28000 bps. Won't know until we try though. :) I am assuming that Rommel is no longer with us? If so, I like the idea of Germany and America remaining permanent AIs.....with Mignonne, Narz, NRK, Sean and myself finishing this one. I also like the idea of only playing when all 5 can be there. The sunday early afternoon time still works for me, but we can make the schedule flexible so all can play. Hell....for that matter....anytime we are all online at the same time, we can get in a few turns then as well. But whatever works is cool :)

Cool, does everyone want to play out the original game? Let me know. Also, can everyone make it?

Everyone = Sean, GenSwartz, NRK, Migonne, myself

I am down for playing this Sunday. Hopefully under the Genral's new DSL system we will have fewer connection problems. Are we going to start from the 1030AD save or the slightly later one? I hope to resolve everything soon and get this show back on the road! :)

I would like to go back as far as everyone is willing, due to all the time I missed. But I am willing to take my lumps and start at any year

Lets figure out now what save we will use, the latest one I have is the 1030 A.D. save. Shall we use this one or do you want to go back a bit earlier (before GenSwartz was taken over by the AI)? I'm down for whatever, I just hope we can get a good amount of turns in! Sean, Migonne if you read these let use know if you can make it.

Is Sean gonna make it? I don't know his e-mail, I'm sent him a PM on Fanatics... I don't mind, whichever save you guys want to start from is fine with me.

Yo Narz!! What happened buddy? There is a first time for everything. I have never seen you with computer problems before. It may well have been my fault though. If I hadn't screwed up and clicked the cancel button, we may well have still been playing right now. ( 3:55 pm) Sorry if that was the cause. It was good to be back though, and to get the game rolling again. :D See you all in here and at the game next week. ;)

Definitely was good to be back! Sorry about my computer problems. My DSL unexpectedly died as we were all reconnecting and I had to restart the computer and hook up through the phone lines, the only thing I was able to connect to after that though was AOL where I told Anarchy of my woes.

Its back working now (my DSL) but its very tempermental and will just randomly cut out on me from time to time , but at least the company is sending someone to check out the problem in a couple of days. Looking forward to seeing everyone back again next Sunday. Let us know as early as possible can't make it or want to discuss a different time to start. Hopefully the 1pm (6 gmt) will work again for everyone though.

BTW, here's the writeup for this week, let me know if you'd like to submit your own writeup or contribute in any way. :)

OKAY!! Back in business! Lets Rock!

First proper week for a while and it was a nice easy one to get us all into shape again ;)

Limited action on my side of the world, I have a shedload of settlers heading for certain areas of the map and was fortunate enough to discover 2 nomad settlers on my travels :D

I am sure peopel wonder why the Lighthouse and the Great Wall are my wonders of choice? Well I started on an offshore island which is quite far from suitable settlin' land on the mainland. So the Lighthouse enabled all my crappy Triremes to reach the cost in double quick time;) And the Great Wall will make it easier for my newly founded cities to be defended while they get on their feet! It is that simple :goodjob:

And yet I am still bottom of the damn Power Graph

Wow! This is too cool to see everything back to "normal"! :D

I reckon I oughta start putting my two cents in on what is happening in the world of the Souix Nation.
A little more "excitement" than usual. Excitement in quotes because it was nothing as exciting as the commencement of hostilities, But I DID get to see a couple of different colored shields that had not graced my shores until today. :) NRK sailed right up to Yellowtree harbor with an English caravel. Being the chivilrous leader we all know him to be, he elected not to move right in to my undefended fledgling city. Thank you, o gracious one! :D And the Spanish also sailed up to Wood Lake. Other than those events.....life goes on normally in the land of the Souix. I see that despite not having Mike's Chapel, the Babylonians have achieved the upper hand on the power graph. So no more whining Narz! :)

Until next week kings and queens......

Will everyone (Genral, NRK, Migonne) be showing up this Sunday? I certainly hope so. I'm having tons of trouble with my DSL (they're replacing the modem Tuesday) but I will play even if I have to do it through dial-up. We will begin at 1pm EST, see you all there! :)

i might only be able to play till 3pm... but, am not sure about yet...would that be a problem?...

I will be there at 1:00. I will actually be online before then. It would be nice if all of us were online a little before 1:00 so we can truly start at 1:00 like we did last week. With regard to Mignonne's question, It is not a problem with me. But I am but 1 of 5. Perhaps we could do a 12:00 start to regain the hour???

the earlier the better i believe... i could start any sunday already at 11... but that might be too early maybe... 12 sounds great to me already...
