Unit requests thread

this may sound dumb, but I would like a dog please. I searched a few times and all I got were aztec guys. If possible, I would like it brown, like a beagle, and not too big, maybe the size of the in-game wolf. Thanks

I try it again, hoping that I would be glad - in facts, I get my camel after many post, and now I try it with the Alpine Troop and the railroad-Artillery. So: Could anyone create a model of a railroad artillery or a Soldier with skiers? The soldier need not to walk on the skeiers, they could also be on hin backpack.

There are dogs in the game. I think some settler graphics have them.

But here's an idea... how about custom dog graphics for each civ? That way, England and America could have Golden Retrievers, France a poodle, Germany a German Shepherd, Canada a Labrador, The Inuits a husky and so on.

And while we are at it, why not have motorised settlers for the later ages. Somehow a family with a dog just does not fit in the era of trains and trucks.

i know, but I am not that great with that stuff.
Would it be possible for someone to just reskin the in-game wolf for me, or provide a dog unit?

To much work for near zero effect.

You mean you are still using settlers in the industrial/modern era? In most of my games on a standard map of Wolfshanze almost all my cities are in place by the Middle Ages and I am speeding up the Tech Tree to Gunships by 1800s. Therefore nice idea but I don't really build settlers or explorers by the time I get to that stage. I'm too busy building up my tech lead to crush the other rulers...

I almost exclusively play on terra maps. On terra maps, you gotta race to colonize the new world, and i can see how you may be using settlers by the industrial era, especially on bigger maps when it takes a while for galleons to get to the new world.

Scavenge the Covred Wagon from Colonization.

Is there an animated mi-24 out there? really need it....i dont mean the rotating blades, but the up and down from the ah-64 model!!!!!hopefully

You could also use settlers then, if you raze enemies cities to place new ones on places you want. I think, modern settlers won't be that wrong.

There: I found the link for you. There's A LOT of air units there, including the Mi-24.

Many thanks...but that is the mi-24 animated in the way i already have...i mean it looks like the model stands in the air with rotating blades.
My question was: is there a model of the mi-24 that hover above the ground like the firaxis gunship or the eurocopter or the ah-64 model?

I think if you changed the domain to land you will achieve this. Although it won't work like a regular air unit. Although I could be misunderstanding what you are looking for, if that is the case sorry.

iam sorry iam not english and cant explain it better...i give it another try: the mi-24 looks like not moving in the air (exept the rotor blades). Iam looking for a model THAT moves in the air. IS there a model of the mi-24 with such specifications out there?

the model itself was correct, it was only linked to the wrong node (for an unrigged model), therefore no up and down. Also changed a bit the strike animation, didn´t see the gun, so now it uses rockets.

Spoiler :
[copy all other kf and the kfm file from the gunship animation, only replace the one kf included, use the included nif (for both, nif and shader nif, do not rename, the kfm needs a gunship.nif - or at least have a copy with the name in the same folder), textures are not included]
