Unit requests thread

Hi Folks,

I have modified the great scientist for our Civ Col mod WTP a little bit (I only changes the shoes in blender). In Nifskope all animations work fine. However, ingame the unit is rotated 90° and is on ground. I tried different things for some hours but I didn't get it. I'm a litte desperate because all my other unit graphics worked well. However, I assume I forgot something important. Maybe one could have a closer look to the attached files why the great scientist animation does not work ingame? I assume it works for Civ 4 original game as well.

Can you also post the code you are using?
Perhaps you just prescribed the wrong animation.

Try opening the unit in nifscope and just rotating the unit there.

I am looking for a paddlewheeler like this (with the wheel in the stern and a similar colour - just like the ones on the Mississippi in 19th Century).

Truely to say, I am not able to convert any model. I can work with Nifscope, but blender I am not able.
So thank you for your suggestions, but in this case I will have to find someone to convert it.

I also would be interested in a unit like this:
CEASAR (french artillery truck)

or Archer

Recently a use a truck artillery, but this is not perfect, as it has a too small gun and is mounted on a truck with a container.
Hi Kathy,

I have this in store for you. Does it fit?

Thanks! It s based on firaxis models, i ve spent a dozen hours on making it fully functionnal. Skins needs more work.
I m looking for a better truck model, closer to the one on the pictures, but haven t found one... yet...

Yes, this will be good for me :) It is okay that it does not have exact the truck from the pictures, for me it is only important that it is a very modern truck using an artillery gun. So I like it.

=I m looking for a better truck model,=

By the way, this is not necessary for reliability. In fact, the Caesar is put on 4 different trucks, including a four-axle.

And if the customer asks to put a gun on an American truck, it will be delivered.
Don't take it as a quibble, but I'm more confused by the "swinging part" (the actual gun) - modern guns have different proportions. "Firaxis" model - something in the style of the WW2.

Yes, this was first an attempt to make something animated, with no existing model to start with. About the gun model, same thought. But if you have a modern gun model that could do the job, just upload it, I can do an other one (now i know what s to do!).
The question for me was to know if Kathy was looking for a NexterCaesar Mk.I 6x6 155mm with NATO central-europe livery, or just a functionnal sph truck.
