Unit requests thread

No, PS is PhotoShop, while PSP is always Paint Shop Pro.

And anyway, in the post above yours he said explicitly:
No problem... I don't mind the extra step if I get to use Paint Shop Pro...

So :p to you

NikNaks to the rescue! :D

I used to use Paint Shop Pro, but then I realised I can use a paint brush in PS just the same as-in PSP, but for a mere $100 more! :P
Corrected...

I have created an Inuit civilization with two unique units -- the Dog Sled (Chariot) and Eskimo (Scout), both of which can travel over arctic ice (but cannot travel in deserts, grass or plains).

Thing is, I have to use a regular scout and chariot to represent these units.

I would love to have these units look like an actual eskimo (with pronged spear) and dog sled (complete with multiple huskies). Anyone up for it?

Awsome! Very cool.

If you're interested... I'd also love to have a sleigh pulled by deer to complete my circumpolar civilization. :-)

(anyone who wants to dress the regular units in Parkas is welcome to take this concept so far as it will go)

BTW - to make a dog-sled style unit capable of traveling over pack-ice, just make a regular land unit capable of traveling on all terrain and able to travel through impassable tiles, giving it access to peaks and ice. Then declare Ocean, Coast and Peaks as impassable within the unit XML.

The unit is then identical to any other land-based unit except it can circumnavigate the globe by traveling over ice at the polar regions.

Corrected...

That's not it, wolfshanze, with photoshop you have plug-ins that will actually work ;) and better layer options and other features. It's miles ahead of Paint Shop Pro.

I agree, it's a more professional and better featured program, but Wolfshanze doesn't need it, and Wolfshanze isn't going to go out and buy it when he's got something which fits his needs perfectly. Now can we stop this childish arguing, poo-poo head? :p

Throw out the fact I'm broke and let's pretend I did have all the money in the world to just go out and by another paint program... there's also the issue of "learning curve" and the fact I'm very comfortable with PSP7, but could never even get used to the newer versions of PSP (I think up to 10 or 11 now).

I'd probably be as lost in PS as I am in Nifskope!

Remember... I'm getting old... so I fear change!

I requested a few weeks back here about some jeep units. But now I have a game ready! Please see my consolidated graphics request post here. The game plays, and looks fun to me, but the graphics are totally missing the theme. If you can help out, I would really appreciate it.

One more who waits for the Marder to come ;) ^^

Well, I'm working on my next modern WWII general... heck of a time finding two uniforms in the same shade of color!
