Unit requests thread

I've found a lot of Napoleonic era units. Now what I want is quite challenging (I don't event know if it's possible!). I'd like to put a grenadier on a horse, and keeping him fight launching grenades! (so, no CompanionCavalry animation!).
Either he should need a new animation, or he could use the horse archer one, and throwing grenades instead of arrows...!!!

Is it possible? Already done? Anyone want to try? Thanks!!

The Chinese Baochuan (Zheng He's Treasure Ship)
From 1405 - 1433, under the regency of Ming emperor Yongle (before Zhui Di), a gigantic chinese Treasure Fleet sailed along the coasts from China via India to East Africa. 300 ships and 27000 men were under the command of Admiral Zheng He (Zhen He, Cheng Ho), among them several Treasure Ships (Baochuan), of about 200´ lenght, i.e. double the length of Columbus´ Santa Maria. Some sources even claim 400´ length and 9 masts, but that is yet unproven and it is doubtable if such big ships built out of wooden could be seaworthy at all regarding their structure. Archaeological findings from the Ming Dynasty indicate that Zheng He may even have discovered Australia and South America. Zheng-He was Muslim and his muslim name San Bao and his 7 voyages indicate that he may deliver the historic background for the tales around Sindbad the Sailor (Sindbad the Seafarer).

For lack of such a unit, the temporary fix would be to use a Chinese junk, blow its scale way out of proportion, and fix the stats accordingly.

So many excellent German units that look plausible without having to go into the realm of things such as the Maus and the Ratte... I would love to see a Panzer VII Lowe but that is about the limits for what I think is practical...

I need some kind of Bulky Steampunk Power Armor. Ideally a Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor... But a Warhammer Space Marine or Tau will be fine too (Actually the Tau guy (white one) looks very close to BoS armor).

Do we have something like this already ?
Otherwise would someone want to help out ? I need a mesh and nice texture - does not need to be rigged/animated - this i can do (if the original pose is not too distorted).

There's a warhammer hoover-type of unit in the database, and it has two figures in it. Perhaps those could be used as a base?

Not much going on in the eastern part of the world in terms of units. I think a musketman/rifleman based on this drawing from the Macartney Embassy would be a nice addition.

An image of my just at the beginning work... it'll take a lot of time i think, as it will have a lot of cannons and turrets. That it means that it will need also the relative dummies in the right position. The body must to be reshaped. And after it will be used in a bigger scale than other tanks...
P.S. naturally the model is not mine, as i'm unable to create models from scratch.

That Eastern Musketman looks interesting. Looks more like a rifle the way Civ4 BTS handles things than a musket though...

Early firearms were very long, and even required a special stand for them. I would definitively place that as a musketman.

This isn't so much a request for a new unit as a request for a set of modified units. I've started working on a few, but I don't think I can do these characters justice. The units that I've started are:

Noah's Ark
Heracles
Benkei
Sherlock Holmes
Nosferatu
Martian Tripod
and a witch (basically FfH's Typhoid Mary with a darker cloak and no disease cloud)

I'm having trouble with all of these units. Either they don't work properly in-game or I just wasn't satisfied with the end result. If there are any unit makers interested in doctoring my work so far, PM me and I'll send you the files.
