You are both absolutely correct, Wyrmshadow is trying to offset costs both monetary and time in producing units. He has made 1,000's of units for free already. Although I wish he would continue doing free units I cannot fault his decision.

I second the M-109.
 
No one is forcing Oz -or anyone else, for that matter- to pay for Wyrmshadow's time and effort. Oz is paying Wyrm to make him a unit, and Wyrm seems to be perfectly happy to relinquish all claims on it for what he considers to be a reasonable price.
If you disagree with this practise, you can simply not download the unit.

Wyrm is only not making units because of other demands on his life, like the need for income. It's not as though he's lost the interest.

As I've hinted, this is the only e-community which actually feels like a community to me (of course, I have been "hanging around" here for over eight years). So, like any other community I enjoy, I help it as I can. For me, Wyrm's sudden absence was just this side of tragic. I knew I wanted a few "toys" (as Wyrm would say) and, as an ex-Wall Streeter, the answer was obvious, and I cleared it with the Mods before proceding.

So the dice were cast ...

@Takhisis - I know all the AFVs mentioned well. I'll probably only work one flame tank into the mix (in consultation with Wyrmshadow) and it'll probably come to a vote.

Don't worry, I've suddenly felt an incredible itch to make a -generic- flame tank myself, only that such crap as RL take a toll.

Just FYI in case you missed them, Wyrm already made a set containing a great Type 5 Chi-Ri, Type 95 Kha-go, and Type 97 Chi-Ha (check the d/l db); ditto rhodie's Type 97 Te-Ke Japanese tankette; Type 97 Chi-Ha Japanese tank; Type 95 Ha-Go Japanese tank; Type 94 Japanese tankette; Type 89B Japanese tank; Type 2 Ka-Mi Japanese tank transport; Type 2 Ka-Mi Japanese amphibious tank (not to mention his fantastic non-Japanese AFVs - Hey, you seem to be interested in the time & place :D

Hmmm ... Not that any of these answer your specific requests, but I'm rather surprised that no one's done a Comet ...

A flame tank would be real interesting - I've not got a specific one in mind, but my seconding will go to something flaming. I leave it to Oz to work out what particular type/model/nation would be most valuable.

Wow, I didn't think one small comment could generate so much.

I'm sorry if it seemed that I was implying that I have some fear that our little community could become some sort of pay-for-use, buy-the-files spam/ad paradise. I wasn't, and I didn't mean to. :blush:
 
a Comet would be nice indeed. there's so many, really :) i always wanted an M113 without the cupola. or just a new one altogether (an old, old ripptide unit). M109 is nice too. carry on :D

i am very interested in that area of Japanese tanks because they seem to be forgotten by everyone. So that is why I thought I would add them plus it fills in some nice gaps between the type 97 and type 5.

For the record, recon1591's "Mechanized Combat Engineer" can be used as a straight-out M113 without any squinting and/or imagination required :)

Since some longer time I dream of a more modern german MechInf. The current used "TPz 1 Fuchs" would be cool. There even exist a version with a 20 mm BK ,afaik.
