SorryIndeed. Relax guys!
Regular SGs thrive on deep strategical discussion, not extreme micro-management.
Beyond the very first turns it's best to keep it broad.
No problem! We can wait until the end of the roster@pomthom: I PMed killroyan since he posted first, but if he doesn't show up or wanna stay on the lurking side, I'll put you in the roster. I hope that's ok with you.
This is the superior!!(how about we rename it "The Evidence"?)
Yes yes I got carried away because the whipping scenario was mentioned but you're perfectly right.Whipping away resources does not necessarily pay back, especially without a Granary.
It is usually best to settle the second city as soon as possible. However, if this means that you must whip away the Cow and the Gold, the capital comes out with +1-6
-7
per turn until it regrows to size 3 (+4
-24
-28
, by the looks of it), and then -1
-3
until it regrows to size 4 (+1
-33
-28
total?). Will settling a second city 34 turns sooner compensate for this?
Perhaps a 1-pop Settler whip @ size 4? That way the capital can continue to work the Gold and grow back onto the Cows.
Ah, that's too bad, you've missed out on some great games/threads in this forum -- much more fun to follow than SGOTM. You should go back and read a few over the holidays. My only experience of SG games is of reading SGOTM top team threads so obviously...
Yes sir. Any specific examples in mind?Ah, that's too bad, you've missed out on some great games/threads in this forum -- much more fun to follow than SGOTM. You should go back and read a few over the holidays.![]()
I'm sorry, but I overslept four hours. Had to get to work =(. I will post something tomorrow.
pomthom plan looks nice.
I will follow it but work gold instead on turn 35.
warrior will walk to gold in the SE. Archer will walk to forest E of wheat and settler between wheat and gold.
I have time to play this tonight.
I put my vote on the forest between rice and gold.
It also gets to work the cow until gold/copper/rice is improved so it will have a faster start.
It also blocks Isabella from expanding in our direction.
