Your not. I guess an decision to do this was made in 1954 and it was a bad decision for several reasons. The guys I was referring to went over in the early 60's to escape Vietnam. By that time the military had apparently learned its error in giving DD's to the guys from 1954, and simply dropped them from the rolls and classified them as deserters - a practice which we continue even unto today.

Btw, another reason they couldnt face courts martial again is that you cant be tried for the same crime twice, once a verdict has been given. You cant be found guilty of the same crime twice.

2) I couldn't care less if Obama was raised by a Soviet General and a chicken in Mongolia. However, some people feel that the Constitution was be followed. They have the right to know. That's right, there is more than one soldier calling for this, and I don't think these soldiers expect to keep their positions. They would not put their careers on the line to make a stupid political stunt.

3) If McCain could and did produce his certificate, why is Obama so reluctant to show his true one?

Previously, people argued that Obama did not have to produce it, and that telling him to produce it was an act of (insert something negative here). McCain had no problem prducing his birth certificate.

Obama had shown two. One was a fake, and the second was a re-issued one. The hospital where he was born (I'm assuming he was) refused the reveal his birth certificate on the grounds that such data is off limits to the public, which is considered to be run by a big Obama supporter. People that want it to be revealed argue it on the grounds of following the Constitution.

Verbal statements made by rural villagers in Kenya who are immensely proud to even have the smallest connection to the man VS state vital records. There's a reason all these cases are being thrown out of court.

I actually do not want this. If I wanted Obama to removed, it would be through impeachment on corruption charges. This martyrs him in a way.

The only way to stop false rumours (and they can't be stopped completely) is to confront the issue when it arises. Even if you don't believe there's a huge conspiracy and Obama stole the Presidency, others reading this thread might.

Personally, I wish he'd just have Hawaii dig out the original to put the issue at rest. Though I support his right to be principled on the matter.
