Let me first say, I'm probably the first on these forum to say "Yay! man", but let me say that Vans are the style of the Bay man. They're really trendy in the Bay and probably the best types of shoes out right now. I've got about ten pairs of Vans at my house and I couldn't go without em. You can wear em when it's cold, when it's hot, any times good time. The best style is Slip Ons, and are really unique.

Does anyone else have any Vans?

Or do you hate em?

I have brown Vans with the "gum" brown bottom. And what a coincidence, I live in the Bay area too! Chesapeake Bay that is...

I don't like them. They are intended to be stylish and not functional.

I buy all of my shoes at the Bass outlet at the Tanger Outlet Mall in North Branch.

Can you elaborate? I know neither what kind of shoes Bass sells, because they ain't in the Bay, man, nor do I know where Tanger Outlet Mall in North Branch is.

eh, my adidas say your vans suck.

ohwell. to me it goes like this:

1. adidas
2. converse
3. puma
4. adidas again
5. every other skate shoe
6. vans
7. loafers

Vans are still around? Those things went from cool to uncool circa 1983. I guess all fads are doomed to come back.

For me

1: Converse
2: Adidas
3: NSS
4: Everything else

Converse as in chucks, or some other style?

Adidas are also some of my favorite. I use them in cross country/track and for casual.

Basketball shoes are where its at.

Me personally, I like reeboks.

Vans are back? Sweet. I wore them 25 years ago with my Vuarnets and OPs.
