VRA-01 ~ The Masters.

Just going on record. I like S of copper.

The music GA is doable.

I prefer Shaka build the GW so we may capture it. :crazyeye:

*notes that we are Industrious, and, more importantly, we have to build some of our own Wonders, because, even if we capture them and get the benefits, ONLY the builder gets the points added to thier score.*

Sorry, but I'm going to have to take a skip for now. My computer is not working and is bringing up continual error messages about runtime error, exe errors, C++ errors, and other nastiness. I cannot get it to load the game properly even after renaming the mod so it recognized it. Sorry. :(

Oi, sorry to hear that.

1 - Vra...dreaming of home...
2 - Giaur...Wot?! Wot?!...
3 - Admiral Kutzov...Practicing history...(Just Played)
4 - Galileo44...cursing his fortune...Skipped =(
5 - The Sansman..Smilng happily...UP!

Galileo44, could you tell me a few details, as I might be able to solve your issue...a few screenies of your errors woudl be cool too.

Okay, you need to check to see if...

If you have Warlords 2.0.8.

If you do, you have download the mod into your mods folder first. So, download the mod, and unzip it to the Warlords/Mods folder.

Mine is C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Warlords\Mods

Make sure that its unzipped to the WARLORDS mods folder, and NOT vanilla.

Then, load the game, and attempt to load the save. It should tell you that it has to load the Warlords Mastery Mod. Say Ok then you're done.

From what you're saying it sounds like you dont have the mod downloaded to the Mods folder in Warlords, and those errors a result of Windows inabliltiy to find the mod. The save of course, should be placed with all the other saves. Only the Mastery Mod, and NOT the save, should be in that folder.

If you still can't get it to load after that, give me a few screeneis, and I'll see what I can do.

Alright I have play 15 turns and hopefully I did not screw up. First off got this.

Writing came in, I chose Masonry next for the Great Wall, as Admiral Kutzov suggested. I think it is a good idea. I like having Barbarian going around me instead of attacking me.

Shortly afterwards Judaism was founded:

Shaka came calling:

I agreed to the open borders.

Montezuma was next:

I also said yes to him.

Masonry came in, being a little stuck with what to choose next I decided that Iron Working would be OK. The Mongolians asked for the Open Borders aswell, I seemed to miss the picture for that, sorry.

The Settler was completed and sent to posting towards Shaka to hopefully keep him at bay.

He was already thinking the same thing towards us. I also finally noticed that we have not switch to Slavery.

Civ4ScreenShot0007.jpg

Switch us and did some whipping at Washington to start the Great Wall with some overflow. At the end of my turn set here is what we know:

Our internal affairs:

Two Works are on the hill ready for chopping the forest there to help with production. We are 18 turns from completing the Great Wall so I think we can both chop and whip this Wonder to completion.

The save.

Parting thoughts :crazyeye::

We are getting squeezed by both Shaka and Kublia Kan. I hope we have Iron within our Territory and hopefully we can get the Horses to the North as well. I would like to trash Kublia first. I do not think we will be able to get many more cities out before we are completely boxed in.

BTW: As a rule of thumb, I have no idea what I am talking about.;>)

What to report...well, I did alot of chopping and managed to get us the GW. Just as well, as we were about to be under attack by barbs at the time.

While that wasn't terribly exciting, I had a few terribly important discovories...I suspect we're in a postion to deny copper and iron to our neighbours!

ShakaFDR.GIF

As you can see, Shaka has founded two cities on our borders - one with Copper, and one with iron. Currently he has neither, and I don't see why we should let him get any. As soon as we hook up the iron in 3, we should mine the copper at NYC and spam swords to take the city to the east and Nohamba. They should have weak garrisons, and it should be easy once we don't allow them Impis. I would attack to uMung, and either take thier captial and swallow the cost while we cottage up, or leave it as a buffer while to take .

Now, the red dot to the south is another iron mine, however, we should be able to strike fast enough that it won't get hooked up in time to play a role. Maybe we should take the capital as we need his land and we need his workers as we also need to cottage up like crazy beforeour economy crashes. Also, I suspect we have the Great Khan blocked off, so we can deal with him later

As for tech path, what do you guys favour? Alphabet for Lit/Drama/Trading or Metal Casting for Forge and GE factory?

Oh, and before that, we need pottery next...and trying to build the Pyramids in the capital wouldnt hurt us either, whipping it as soon as we can. We should not need to chop any more trees. It's now a good production city with that iron resource.
