Warlords Patch Coming in October

Firaxis software engineer Alex "alexman" Mantzaris commented on the forum yesterday that a Civ4 Warlords patch is in the work but it likely would not come out before mid-October, due to scheduling conflicts with Quality Assurance (QA).

He also said that vassal state bugs will be fixed, but don't expect major implementation changes like being able to drop your vassal state, which is working as designed. One patch change to the vassal system is that "the new master will only accept the vassal if he also wants to declare war on you".
 
How much will the SDK be changed in that patch?
I don't really want to have to convert everything to warlords, and then everything to the first patch.
 
Awaiting Warlords patch everyday...

I think I will have vassal states off until this change comes into effect.

Lol thats a good one, quality assurance don't apply to take 2 games does it?;) all things aside though i can't wait for the patch

Of course it doesnt. Why do you think they are called take two? You can make your own anology there but theres plenty of reasons..

Im kidding i like civ4.

Does this mean only if the vassal wants to declare war on the master or vice-versa, or both? Pronoun confusion :confused:!
 
I emailled take two to ask if there was going to be dual processor support, or if it was already and i had missed that in the documentation. They wrote back to inform me that thye don't support modding. Looking at the question and the answer, i can only assume take two support consists of idiots or bots.

Anyway really want to see all the vassal changes..
 
Railroads gone gold yesterday... hopefully this means the patch is not far away...

cant come quick enough, hope they have something to fix Mehemed's head
 
I just hope they fix the sound bug. I emailed take 2 support with the details and asked them to include the fix in the next patch. They replied back only to say they don't support modding, so i am not optimistic.
 
PLEASE.. fix the damn GUI bug, where Sid's tips randomly stop popping up and I'm unable to type things in.. currently I have to alt-tab out and back into the game to "reset" it. I know this has been an ongoing problem that many users face, but yet after many patches it has not been addressed.. please fix it!
