So one of my (female) friends tell me that Jamie spears is pregnant. I made the mistake of asking who, which is followed by a lot of blahing.

But at the end she tells me she is 16 and her BF is 19. oh no  From what she tells me this likely happen in California. In California the AoC is 18.

Genarlow Wilson got ten years (over turned) for have having oral sex with a 15yr when he was 17. And it turned in to a pretty big case. But in this case to be honest, if this was statutory rape, I don't see anyone caring.

I think like a lot of sex law are crazy and too harsh. but where are the other people like in Wilson case saying the "Law is the law and he's a sex offender" and blah blah. Whats the difference?

If Spear's BF was black, and this happened in the south, the authorities might cause some trouble. Since thats not the case, and the parents dont sound like they want to press charges, nothing will happen.

Yeah, technically she was. But as Downtown said, if the parents don't want to press the issue. Now if the guy had been 25-30 rather than 19, then yes I would support public castration.

I agree (with woody), but what I'm annoyed at is not this thing not getting legal attention, but Genarlow Wilson getting such a sentence for something like oral sex at 17.

Fixed that for you. ;)

In most of Europe AoC is 14. So a 16 year old is a fair game. But if the law in California says different, hang the bastard!:D

AoC is 18 in California? that's ********.

And I hope the law has an age difference thing, meaning it's not illegal if the two people are within, say, 3 years of each other.

Only the Spears' family can press charges and the law only has effect in the state the birth will be in (Louisiana in this case). Louisiana apparently doesn't count statutory rape if the girl is within 3 years of the boy. That is true for this case. No charges, unfortunately.

1. lol how do you came up with "state the birth will be in" you don't need to get pregnant or carry the baby to full term to have it count rape. I think you miss typed that.

Also in boot camp they gave a class on AoC laws in California. Pretty much you have sex with a girl under 18, you committed statutory rape. It doesn't matter if she was your GF and you both came from a state where the AoC was 16 (this happens sometimes, duh. as why the class is needed). When in that state, state laws applies. Also it's breaking federal law if you cross state borders to have sex with a minor whom it would of been illegal the state s/he came from. So you can't take a girl from IN to IL as a way of getting around the law.

Also there is no Parental consent law in CA (there are in some states tho). So the parents can't say ok to sex with there child. meaning the state can press charges, no matter what the parents said.

I'm not by any means defending the law at all. I'm just saying AFAIK what the law is.

This is what I heard on the radio. You can't pinpoint where the two had sex, so that's the reasoning of the birth place meaning something.

If you can't pinpoint that they had sex in your jurisdiction, then you don't have a chargeable offense for statutory rape.

In other news, Lyne Spears' parenting book is on hold. No surprise there.

That just made the story for me. There was something about Britney on a tabloid the other day at the grocery store, and I mumbled "you can take the girl out of the trailer park..." It's appropriate that baby sister is knocked up. It's hilarious that mama thought people would want to know how she raised these little... well... you know. It sounds like a delightful comedic romp.

At least they're not lacking money to take care of new baby. It's got something going for it.

Any chance she can be lured to Saudi Arabia to have the baby? It sounds like both of them could use some sense being flogged into them. :mischief:
