Weird Food Combinations That Work

In this thread we will discuss any weird foods you have cooked that turned out to be quite tasty despite seeming disgusting in theory.

For me I have been trying a lot of combinations with condoments on burgers. Some of my recent creations are: BBQ sauce and salsa, BBQ sauce and taco sauce, and Tartar Sauce and cheese.

I also put tartar sauce on some baked chicken my wife made and it turned out to be pretty good. BBQ sauce with mac and cheese is also a favorite of mine (in case you can't tell, I like to experiment with condoments).

When I lived in Germany I loooooved eating quark (cottage) cheese sandwiches with ketchup on top. Nothing else except a bit of butter.

I don't even know that what I'm talking about is called quark cheese. In Poland we call it White Cheese. I've done some googling and it's tough to find.. so.. I don't think that this type of cheese is popular or common in north america. Here's a pic:

edit: can someone tell me what this cheese is called in English?.. especially American or Canadian English? I thought it was quark, but.. quark cheese is often creamy. This stuff isn't.

Yeah, I looked that up too, but it says that it's often creamy. This type of cheese never is.

Yeah, that's what I thought it was for the longest time here too, until I saw what they mean by cottage cheese here, which is chunky/britly stuff that's not solid. What's a slimmer?? I demand to know

I refuse to confirm this, but my sort-of-friend's girlfriend swears by Oreos and ranch dressing. I will confirm that jalepenos and A1 Sauce work very well together as burger toppings.

One of my childhood favourites: Ketchup and mayonnaise.

I remember proudly calling my invention "matchup" and introducing it to the world. Imagine my crushed ego when I discovered that others had discovered this glorious recipe.

More recently, I tried cheese, bread, and chili. It's pretty darn good too!

I used to do that.. I got addicted to those garlic dipping sauce things you got from pizza pizza, but hated pizza pizza.. So I started using ranch dressing for this purpose instead

how is banana and chocolate controversial? I've never heard of bread and ice cream, so I'll try that.

anyways, my combo: sriracha on [insert anything]. Also, it's not disgusting but not many people do jelly and cheese combos on stuff (jelly cheese crackers, jelly cheese sandwiches, etc) despite it being good. At least I didnt until my roommate talked about it.
