I read here http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=14235 about training games with an expert analysing the play of noobies. Is there anything like that planned for the near future? I would very much like to try it out.

Hi, welcome. 
This forum is specifically about the Civ4 SGOTM Competition games. We don't run Training Day Games (TDGs) here. If and when Civ4 TDGs are run, they would normally be found in the Civ4 Succession Games forum. Why not ask in the Registration thread in that forum?
