Olive oil has a lower smoking point than most oils, but not by much. You can fry with olive oil if you're careful.
Butter has a lower smoke point than olive oil and can be used to make blackened food and what not. Sesame oil also has a low smoke point, but no one cooks with that.
It has a very high smoke point, making it ideal for applications requiring high heat, like stir-frying. It also has very little flavor and that flavor is a little savory, unlike corn or soybean oil that can have a very cloying flavor.
I like a white pizza. It is so good. Tomato sauce would overpower the spinach and feta. I just wish I had some anchovies and black olives to go on it as well.
Pizza pro tip: when rolling out your dough on a board, instead of using wheat flour use corn flour or cornmeal. Wheat flour will burn in a hot oven but corn flour will not.
