What are you missing & what are you appreciating?

Missing daycare the most, it's tough to work from home and watch a kid.

On the plus side, no more commute.

I've been missing you! Welcome back! :salute:

Missing my weekly gaming meet. Social interaction with people I know and like. Hugs.
Otherwise not much. Having as much time as I want to play games, read, and catch up on tv and films I've missed may pall eventually but not yet.
Don't miss work or 99% of the people I would've normally met.

You mean the drunken bee I had for a long time, or the Robocop one with the same dialog?

That's Selene from the underworld aren't she? She emanated more authority aura than Robocop-not to mention a drunk bee. You will cooperate with her either she ask it nicely or not, because she's the combination of badass, good, bad, nice and rude at the same time, you just cannot comprehend her reality hence you are forced to confirm her demand. This is without doubt the best avatar, she's the real mafia and its counter. Nice choice Tim.

It's actually Black Widow from the MCU. She says it to Loki after she tricks him into revealing his plan. I really think it is the perfect motto for my Mafia game playing style.

She really look like Kate Beckinsale, you really follow the movie better than me-it's 2020 film I don't know nothing about that, I'm becoming old school now

I think she says it more than once, but the scene with Loki is in the first Avengers movie...I think it's like 2008 or so.

We need to get a Mafia game going. I need the practice before the internet wide Mafia Tournament starts since I got chosen to represent CFC.

Ah Avenger, I watch one part of it in the hospital, Thor against his exiled (indomitable) sister, it's very memorable, watch it pretty much in the middle but I really like the last epic fight. Easily one of the most intriguing and interesting antagonist I have ever see.

Good luck TIm!

This Virus has made me realize I'm probably rather antisocial. I don't miss most social contacts at all. The only ones I really miss is meetups with my sister and family and spontaneous BBQ with our neighbours. That and the monthly 'event planning' I have with some friends (the event in question has long since ceased existing, but the meetings remained). Oh, and coffee break trash talk. I miss that.

I do enjoy doing a bit more cooking than usual. so far we haven't ordered any take out.

I greatly appreciate not wasting 2h per day with my commuter ride. Having our 3 girls at home around the clock is a bit exhausting but so far manageable. It'll be a bit more stressful again once school starts after Easter holidays.

My somewhat agoraphobic gf on the safer at home order: I've been practicing for this for years!

Are you still in Chicago?

My older brother and I moved in with my sister and her family to help with the lack of school and daycare and I find myself in a very good place emotionally, able to tackle overdue work and not really missing much.

A lot of my old friends and I have been reaching out to one another, playing games online and so forth. I text some contacts from way south as well see how things are going there.

It helps to be in a big house here. It helps that I’ve spent months basically alone with family before already isolated so many times on my own.

In all I’m loving it.

@Godwynn you have a kid???!!

This is the the time of year when I'll hire a team of locals to climb up into our coconut trees, harvest the coconuts, and cut down the dry fronds. With this year's drought, this task is becoming even more urgent as dried-up coconuts and fronts are increasingly breaking off and falling. It's like we're living at the wrong end of an artillery practice range. However, because of our economic lockdown, we're not allowed. :nono:

I agree, it took me reading like 5 of his posts before I realized it was him.

Definitely the bee.

Hmmmm....the bee was an offhand response to some troll who called me "just a drone in the hive mind." I never really intended to keep it. Before that I was making a subtle social statement about avatars with a question mark that looked almost just like the no avatar avatar and I intended to return to that, but got lazy. I think my fellow Mafia players would agree that "Thank You For Your Cooperation" suits my playing style.
