I want to read this, but I don't think school or city library has it yet. :(

I'm reading The Tommyknockers, same author :goodjob:

It's pretty new. The Stand is my favorite of King's books.

Me too. I think his best since Tommyknockers.

Having said that, Have you ever seen The Simpson's Movie?

In TSM (2007), like UTD (2009), the town is put under a lethal transparent dome; birds die flying into it, people shoot guns at it and are wounded or killed from ricochet, acid fails to burn it, the air goes bad, society breaks down and dictators arise, and a small band of outcasts resist and eliminate the dome.

Coincidence?

I sincerely apologize. (My old age must be catching up with me...) I did read Catch 22 and Slaughterhouse Five. And both readings were quite a while ago, but I enjoyed both, though I rarely read novels these days. I'm not sure I agree with your appreciation of Vonnegut, BTW.

I am reading In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd. It is the collection of short stories A Christmas Story was drawn from.

Catch-22 was hilarious. I was laughing for 10 pages straight on occasions.

After I finished it, I'm like, "Wow, none of that made any sense at all"

Two really. One is a DK book on animals, the other is an apologetics book.

First choice is to revisit old forgotten knowledge.
Second is to deal with Christianity queries.

Both promise to be interesting reads, I just now need to find more time to do so.

Finished Soul Music this morning, by Terry Pratchett. It was pretty good, but one of his more weaker novels, especially when it comes to the humor.

I never was a fan of Soul Music. I am interested in Unseen Academicals though.
