What do you matter?

For the last 1 billion years, there's a chain of ancestors who lives long enough to reproduce, so I'm descended from things that fought to stay alive long enough to have offspring.

So I continue to exist because that's my heritage.

Not only that, at each time during the reproductive process there was only ONE out of trillions of sperm that could have resulted in you. As such your existence is HIGHLY unlikely, so you must be super special and might be "the one"

... just like every body else. ;)

That isn't quite true.

What do you feel like you are important/valuable or deserve existence? Or do you view the question as irrelevant ("I exist & that's good enough for me"). Even if you feel no need to justify your worth to others (in which case you're more well adjusted than I, or most people ;))

I think self-worth must be pre-programmed or genetic in some people. Quite unlucky for you if you don't have it :(

you can answer this question - "What do you most get out of being yourself?".

I'm very relaxed and easy to please, so almost anything will amuse me or make me happy.

I would find comfort in that except for the fact it seems like the unworthy in our society are the ones allowed to reproduce at will, and the intelligent part of our society either can't or won't reproduce. Even many winners of the Darwin awards have kids before they are killed by their own stupidity. And then you have man of older times who didn't have a clue in their head, but they knew how to knock a woman over with a rock to the head and rape her. Rape is a significant contributor to our gene pool. But I may be getting off track to the topic of this thread.

It's irrelevant. The fact that there is no apparent purpose to existence is discomforting at times, but I won't allow myself to succumb to pretty illusions to console myself ever again.

I guess I make a my family and friends happy. I suppose that's something. :dunno:
