What do you think about Poland?

It's funny, you think your opinion of someone can't get any lower, then they go ahead and make your day...

It surprises me that you didn't know that, I have always been clear about my opinion on strikes. Unless the employer really abuses the employees and breaks the law, they have no damn right to strike. Or let them have it, but the employer should then have the right to fire them for breaking the contract.

If you don't like the job, find another one or shut up. Poles understand the logic, which is maybe why they're so popular among employers in Western Europe :p

Probably why they get paid buttons and get fired easily too. They must be very proud.

You'll get used to that, eventually.
That particular individual always reminds me on that I should like to have obligatory shop classes introduced on universities.

Rest assured, I've done my research.
No you haven't.

Indeed. Here in Norway also. But the unions here have started to get to grip with this.
One can only hope that this will be a remedy and in that case other countries will follow.

Wait, wait... scrabbing the English way? or the Australian way? Either way it is a very new word to me.

When I think of Poland, I think of the letter P. I think of women wearing handkerchiefs on their heads. I think of Solidarity. I think of sausages.

Also, I think Poland has produced no major black metal or death metal bands of note.

Vader, damn you, Vader!

I find it slightly amusing that the first image in that article is of Karelian Pies, which is Finnish. :)

Really? I only tried one Finnish thing besides fish and those were some sort of opened rice pies. I loved them very much, but can't remember how they are called....

My neighbours...

Like the Great Northern War? Sure, you did great there. ;) Rest assured, I've done my research.

Besides, you personally asked what people thought of Poland. :p

The northern war was also lost because of nobles siding with Sweden. Something like 70% of nobles sided with Sweden in that war.

Poland started to decline during Peter's age, but it was never (from what I learned in school) at such extent.
