No doubt. Unfortunately making fun of Republicans might be considered "beneath the dignity" of a former president, and let's face facts that's where all the good comedic source material is these days.

There always lingers some awkwardness and stiffness in the air, but he is doing an okay and entertaining enough job of it.
I also don't mind if a politicians employs some humor occasionally. Mostly, because I don't mind if a politician reveals himself to be human, but also because politics can be dry enough. What I would mind are prepared punch-lines, though or if it was done a lot. Politics are superficial enough as it is. No need to make it more like a highschool popularity contest by introducing comedy as a meaningful factor into political competition.
What I would hate is if a politician made sketches. For the same reason. Unless those sketches were very thoughtful and had something substantial to contribute, perhaps.
So yeah, I think it says a lout about the state of politics if a president does sketches on youtube. And none of it good. It made me smile, though!

Even swatting intentional hanging curves out of the park gets tiresome eventually. I don't think he is retiring because he expects the Republicans to stop supplying material any time soon.

Those two rs after each other are quite difficult. Personally I don't say words like terror, horror and rural in English. I simply can't pronounce them without sounding like I'm swallowing my tongue or something.

Oh God yes I know that problem. Th is easy cake compared to that. Yet what differs in my case is that terror or horror are perfectly fine for me. After all, the German words for those two things are exactly the same. But rural...ugh..

They are. Making a distinct pause after the second syllable can help. Feb-RU---ary.
