What do you think of SOPA/PIPA?

Personally, I think that anyone who has any thoughts in favor of either one has about half a brain cell. And no, I am not being sarcastic.

The main reason Congresspeople are supporting it is because they want campaign funding from organizations that do support it. Seriously, how else could bills with about 5% public support (specificially SOPA) actually get this far?

I think there was already a thread about this, and a vocal minority in support of it because they saw it as nothing more than providing media companies with the means to enforce their copyrights.

Something of a specious argument, but it makes y' think.

I think it is a little light on criminal penalties. They need to make it a bit tougher.

By not very good he means JR showed all the internet kiddies hes mad legal skillz and went in to epic detail on what the bill really says. Which is nothing like "the truth" the internet we all know and love spews.
