I'll throw my hat into the ring and see what comes to mind for people about me

I remember you for apparently watching all episodes of Doctor Who in order. :)

I'll throw my hat into the ring and see what comes to mind for people about me

In most reader participation games, you request to be the Minister of Silly Walks in the government. ;)

Taniciusfox: Best Civ 3 stories.

Thank you!

I'm not so much the best writer of Civ 3 stories as a) being the most prolific(due to my inability to finish them; one day, Quintillus, I will reach your level of commitment!), and b) being one of the few to actually still play/write about Civ 3.

I'll throw my hat into the ring and see what comes to mind for people about me
That guy who almost gave me a freaking heart attack playing TF2!!!!!! (:p). Mr. Stabby Stabby.

MOAR!

JoeCoolio: Fellow ChicagoLandian, Da Weatherman

Aelf: Ambiguous Gender!

MjM: Superior fiftychatter, Aces High fan (and really, everybody should be an Aces High fan)

Cheeze: Stickin' it to the man, should come back to fiftychat

Lucy: great poster, common sense, ren fairs, coffeemilk, my random internet fan

Boundless: Aba's boo, doesn't poop ???

Eran: Hell of a guy. great poster, sneaky sense of humor, defender of our faith, and wrote me a real letter on my mission.

NonCon- also a swell chap, capable of being screamingly funny and epically weird.

Richard Cribb - Brilliant user who is a force to be reckoned with in debates. No, I'm not kidding.
Thanks a lot. Wish a could say something about you, but to my shame I don't know you so well. But will follow you more closely in the time to come.

Richard Cribb: The guy everyone holds in high esteem, yet I've never seen post (post more!)
Not everyone, I am afraid. Don't expect that either. As for me posting, I have numerous reason for my relative inactivity.

Yes, that's true. But I suspect on Facebook you are known for gargantuan knowledge of classical music. Also my sister now refers to my son as 'stout lad' sometimes because of you
I know spomething about classical music, but unfortunately the interest for it here is very low. Also seem to remember that I said stout fellow, but I am flattered nevertheless. You have a lovely family, take good care of it!

Richard Cribb: For overusing the "hatsoff" smiley. I bet he doesn't even wear a hat. Also for not really posting anything of substance and preferring to simply insult people instead.
Getting that sort of reaction from the ideal manifestation of, in the Platonic sense, juvenile self-infatuated conformism, indicates that I must be doing something right.
Apart from that I didn't know one had to have a hat to use that particular avatar, just as most of us don't have a king's crown laying around but still have the audacity yo use the king smiley, that I have in my possession more than one hat, and that I might use any of them at least as often as you use clean underwear.:D
Additionally, "substance" might very well be thoughts, ideas, rhetorical devices or arguments you haven't absorbed from your father, teacher/boss or the editor in the Economist.

Richard Cribb: he scares me.
Huh? I know I shouldn't have posted Medtner's 2nd Piano Concerto in the classical music thread...

Also the first time I hear I can be snotty.

Please remember to tell me next time I'm being snotty, I honestly have no idea when that is. :)
About time somebody told you then. And very well, I'll hold you to it.:)

Richard Cribb: never going to be able to erase Ulbricht and "luceafarul" from my memory. Sorry. :p I do remember you for being really active in the quiz threads (wasn't around when they started) but I really just barely caught the tail end of your run as resident curmudgeon and mostly remember you for being gone a lot. :(
You have nothing to be sorry for, my young friend. Your observations are quite adequate, to say the least.

Here are a few observations about some of you, will hopefully do more later.

aelf: A real warrior. Always ready to take on the annoying pomposity displayed by a certain type of posters one can find here. A good man to have on his team. Knows his Marx and Weber pretty well too.
AyatollahSo: Interesting perspectives on most things neatly formulated. Should post more.
batsheba666: Master of sarcasms, Captain Beefheart, chessplayer of the romantic school
Camikaze: Politically naive, but a very pleasant fellow. Too pedantic as a mod.
HereticCata: That Civ3 mod was great. Funny guy too.
JoeCoolyo: Unfortunately I get a lot of disrespect around here as well. I don't post more due to a number of reasons.
JollyRoger: Master of oneliners. Perhaps a bit too clever sometimes, but in general sharp and knowledgeable.
LoneWolf: Those Communist routines are not as funny as he thinks, Apart from that he seems to be OK.
Perfection: What to say about a legend?:goodjob:
Princeps: Have read a lot of Chomsky. Perhaps too much. But basically a good man,
tailleskangaru: I like you, even if you don't include me among decent people.
Taniciusfox:
ViroteConsidon: Fellow authoritarian. Tough. Great avatars.
VRWCAgent: Scary political opinions, but most probably a most excellent friend and neighbour in real life.
ZiggyStardust: Stylish. Miss that Bowie avatar, though.

Thanks a lot. Wish a could say something about you, but to my shame I don't know you so well. But will follow you more closely in the time to come.
It would be a waste of time to follow me. I'm quite awful in debates, and don't really say anything of much use. :p

A prime example of why you are a force to be reckoned with. I wish I was half as good as posting as you are.

Well you are also less than half the age that he is. Keep that in mind, he's got a lifetime's more practice than you at being awesome.
I'm sure he got off to a better start than I did.

I don't remember if I posted this before, but Mr.Cribb, despite his pleads otherwise, is a gentleman.

Apart from that I didn't know one had to have a hat to use that particular avatar
You don't - I said it ironically. Sadly there's no "warning: post may contain traces of irony" smiley, or else I'd surely have used it, not just in that post, but in at least a third of my posts, for which you could have justly accused me of overusing that smiley despite (ironically) not possessing a sense of irony myself.
