What does the circle mean to you?

Well interestingly the profile of the full moon is much more circular than the Sun. In fact, the moon is so circular it's the most circular thing you are ever likely to see.

More circular than this?:

Yup. That's made of pixels (which are small squares drawn by pixies).

He defined the form as being existent in the external world, but although this is part of it, the ideal circle exists as well and obviously can be drawn easily. But even if it could not be drawn at all it would still exist, in imagination and theory, and still would have multiple meanings :)

Nice factoid.

I heard from QI that a neutron star is the roundest thing observed in the universe. (Not arguing your point, since I never saw one)

The roundest thing in the universe is a neutron star, which is what a supernova becomes after it suffers from a gravitational collapse. They have a diameter of 15 miles, and there isn't one near enough to us to see with the naked eye. A thimble full of neutron stars would weigh more than a mountain. They're also believed to have twice the mass of the Sun. The highest mountain on a neutron star is just 5 millimetres high. Comparatively, Earth is actually smoother than a billiard ball, because if it was scaled up to the size of Earth, the mountains and trenches would be much bigger than Earth's are.

I associate circles with women. Just like phallic symbols have association with a part of men, circles have association with a part of women. That's what a circle means to me.

The makers of pedigree charts showing genetic diseases agree with you. Perhaps it's a cultural thing to associate circles with femininity. There's probably a really obvious reason for that, but I like to think there are other, deeper reasons.
