Wow, a justifiable super-bump.

Anyway, I started using IglooDude while I was stationed in Alaska and was at that time (still am, for the record, despite the conclusions to which my avatar may lead) a dude.

And then some dork on Gamespy started using it.

I think the answer to your question is perfectly obvious... :cringe:

I can see it, and that's all that matters

Mine, I believe, is the name of a Protoss planet that had been abandoned and later infested with Zerg. I no longer am interested in such things, but I always liked the name. It just sounds cool. I've been using that and Fuolornis as generic internet names everywhere I go for many years.

I'm named after the Corsairs from Freelancer.

After being called Corsair#01 for a bit, I altered it to ~Corsair#01~, because it looks nicer.

Well, according to www.behindthename.com:

YURI (1)
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Russian
Russian form of GEORGE. The Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man to travel to space, was a famous bearer of this name.

The name has been used by 3 Russian Dukes, and the first human to enter orbit.
(So, I'm George?)

More specificaly, my name is taken from Yuri of the RTS "Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2" for PC. The character is the chief advisor to the Soviet premire, and a memeber of a secret military organization founded by Joseph Stalin comprised of trained psychics. He manipulates the premire into starting yet annother global war, this time by directly invading the United States. The campaign is supported by Yuri's reserch into genetic engineering and psychic technologies, including various mind-control devices. In the expansion "Yuri's Revenge", it is revealed that Yuri had spent most of the last war building a private army in secret, which he proceeds to use in his bid for world domination.

The number was just sort of tagged on at random when I first decided to use the name, and I've continued to use it ever since.

Friendlyfire Form unfortunity CS: AA: ET incidents.
Since Iam often the one who ends up dishing out the FF.

Considering how many Hindis there are (and how many have that name), I doubt it.

The Bold Fool (in Gaelic). (Hence: The Craven Sage)

I was going to start my own thread, but remembed about the vaction tread, where I start my own thread where there was a perfectly good tread existing already.

Anyway, I got my nickname from the GameSpy service which gives names which "strike fear into the hearts of others" (one of which was "GeorgeWBush"). Most of suggestion where dumb, until I got to "WoodenBabbler". I throught "Hum, the Babbler part sound good, I just drop the "wooden." I did, in fact. And I adopted it as an "univerisal" nickname on the internet.

I already had an acount on CFC, as "Civman36" so I got that changed, thanks to Thunderfall.
don't bump!
anyways, it's just a thing.
LL was supposed to be LOL (typo) cos idiots in my class think i'm funny and Xerxes becasue Persia in Vanilla is awesome.
