What policies and actions do you agree with that President Bush has implemented/followed?

Please, very limited to no arguments about it. Each issue can possibly have their own thread. If your answer is 'nothing', then please don't bother posting in this thread.

Invading Afghanistan, and supporting the Northern Alliance. That doesn't mean that he hasn't screwed up actually implementing it, but at least we tried to help rebuild.

Trying to get more extensive rights for illegal immigrants.

Reminds me of "Where did we go right?" from 'The Producers'.

Also, the White House Dinner show he put on was good. And I agree with Eran on extensive rights for illegal immigrants. I'm sure he has done a few more things right, but most of the decisions are made by the corporate lobby and what's best for them anyway. I don't think he has much power.

Ummm tax breaks.

Removing tyrants Saddam and Taliban from power.
Supreme Court appointments.
Tax cuts (although Congress really does this)

Invading Afghanistan.
His social security idea wasn't so bad
Guest workers

thats it

Here, here! :goodjob:

Standing up to terrorists.

Lots of us stand up to terrorists, so I think that's a shared trait not exclusive to the President.

However, his decision to attack the headquarters of al-Qaeda and its government was sound. The time since then may not be perfect, but it is still better than the situation at the dawn of 2001.

A portion of the tax cuts were good, those that went to the middle class. Though I wonder if it were enough to really stimulate demand.

His attempts to create some kind of middle ground on the immigration issue is commendable, especially given the rhetoric of both extremes.

Eliminating Saddam and the Taliban. I don't like dictatorships, and I really really don't like religious dictatorships.

I agree with the general idea of his tax cuts. Except the tax cuts are directed at the wrong people.

Small businesses and middle class folk would more greatly benifit from tax cuts and then increased spending would help the economy as a result.

:agree:
I would have to say bush is more religious then saddam. And iraq was not a theocracy.. but neither is the U.S.

1) Bush chose the right parents for a Presidency bid.

2) He does not let the truth inhibit him.

3) He has not (yet) invaded Russia.

SHHHH! Do you want him to get ideas?

Anyways, I haven't seen the US turning into an actual theocracy yet, so it could be worse.
