What has Bush done right?

1)Afghanistan was justified I feel. Or if not, way the hell more justified than this stupid Iraq II war.

2)I like how he is not kowtowing to anti-illegal immigrant demands, but rather his opinions do somewhat mirror that of mine.

3)This has made me think of when Ralph Nader was holding a press conference, and a reporter asked:

"Do you think the Bush Administration has supported anything good?"

His reply was terse, and mirrors mine:

"Yes, physical fitness."

(Americans are too freaking fat. I think Bush does well by having a rigid workout regimen, and urging other americans to have one too.)

Other than those 3 things, he falls flat.

I dont can he play a sexophone like Bill?I think thats the devil instrutment he was using to hypnotize me.But I've been set free by Pat Robertson and Tack Jhompson.PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I agree with Bush's handling on North Korea. That situation is a no-win regardless of what we do because of who we're dealing with. Clinton's policies of handling North Korea wasn't working. Bush is right to insist on mutli-national dialogue.

There is not much that can be done for the Palestinians unless they want peace themselves. The Bush's adminstration has done a relatively good job in trying to initiate some peace guidelines. I agree with their overall strategy.

I have mostly agreed with Bush's ideas on changes for immigration policy. Though I disagree with the lack of enforcement of current immigration policy.

The coordination and pre-planning leading up to the Afghanistan war was superb. Afghanistan is surrounded by many countries and in the region of the sphere-of-influence of 'rival' countries. A real piece of work with all the diplomacy issues at play.

I agreed with the idea of taking down Saddam (the propaganda and implementation is a completely separate issue). It was interesting watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewert with two recent guests. Efraim Halevy, the former leader of the Mossad, still believes that WMDs will show up. Georges Sadas, the #2 Air Force man for Saddam, stated that even after Iraq supposedly disassembled WMD, in the build up to the war, he spoke with pilots that transferred WMD to Syria.

EDIT: can you guys spam up another thread? :shake:

According to my friend: "What hasnt he done right?"

So you're good with Bush lying about the need to invade Iraq? You don't mind him ignoring Osama "Getting him is our top priority" bin Laden? You're cool with 90% of the tax cuts going to the richest 1% of the population? You have no objection to the MASSIVE deficits Bush is creating?

Im not against Republicans, but I think Bush is the U.S's worst president.:D

YNCS: Thats what my friend thinks, he's a republican lover.:crazyeye:

I am a bad speller I admit that, but it appears you cant admit when your wrong about somthing.

I cant think of anything that he has done right.

Seriously, I cant think of anything

Um

1. He was right on the Dubai ports thing.

2. CAFTA

3. um

4. The decision to invade Afganistan was a good one. (Then any US president would have done that, likely with the added benefit of being at least somewhat competent)

5. Um I like his Social Security plan in theory

6. Eh I think I remember him saying something smart in one of the debates against Kerry\

7. He has a very leaderlike walk (shoulders back, stands up straight)

7. I'd imagine there are more but that's all I can think of right now.

1. CAFTA
2. Reaction to the Dubai ports deal.
3. Pushing for a way to solve the problem with the illegal immigrants already in the country.

Removal of the Taliban from Afghanistan
Removal of the Hussein family from Iraq
Giving significant incentives to build new nuclear power plants in the USA
Attempted to change Social Security
Attempted to make the Dubai Ports World deal work
Cut taxes
Appointed Alito and Roberts to the Supreme Court
Nominated Harriet Miers to the Court to make Alito appear more attractive to the opposition (I hope!)

at least, those are the major points.

Yes, I completely agree with him there too.

Bush sucked up to the right corporations and media elites to get him elected. From the shrewd, ruthless politican viewpoint, he has done quite a lot of things right.

As president to the American people, though...
