What is being a bronie all about?

I don't see too many star trek avatars but that doesn't mean the two fan bases aren't similar. I just wondered why Bronies everywhere use their avatars to display the fact that they like the show.

For the same reason I use Futurama avatars. I like the show, and its fun for an avvy.

It's just a fun little show that shows surprising depth for its concept. I'm not really a fan of its presentation but I understand why people like it.

Ah, ok, yeah, that's what I assumed for the most part.

Also, while not defending r34, Lauren Faust, the shows creator, has said that the mane six are young adults. Most live on their own and hold jobs, for example. So you can do away with pedo argument... also, they're not animals per se (talk, sentient, personality, etc) so bestiality isn't really there either. IMO.
