Hey don't diss Julius Fucik! He wasn't bad composer!

EDIT: Bah gave up seeing that there will been no edit forthcoming for Radetzki and voted Imperial.
I would not consider it serious enough to be a proper march.

It is a good thing he has an I in his surname.

(nor do i, but he is Czech you know?)

He wouldn't need I, had I know code for caron.

I seem to recall a very good russian march song. But i have no idea what it is called. Is any of the ones here a russian song ?
Marche Slav is a Russian march, albeit a very long one, by Tchaikovsky.

Also why no Pomp and Circumstance Marches. Especially the most famous one, Land on Hope and Glory, which is the first one Elgar wrote.

Also why no March of the Toreadors. That would be one of the most famous operatic Marches.

Because I made this in like five minutes, I'm American, and thus included mainly American marches, these being the ones I am familiar with, and the fact that there are a maximum of twenty poll options so I could not have hoped to include all of the world's great marches. Elgar's are great, but I didn't get a chance to put in Mars, The Liberty Bell, Unter Dem Doppeladler, Turkish March, Radesky March, the first movement of Holst's Second Military Suite in F, Racoscky March (the Damnation of Faust), Anchor's Aweigh, March of Florence, and who knows how many others.

My favourite march is Botev march, but i doubt that somebody here have heard it ;).

@Heretic_cata
Give some clue about the russian march ;) I have about 40 in my Pc. I think that they are really good ;)

1998, March then just seemed to be awesome, last year at little school (i think can't remember exactly now), lambs were about etc.

I don't know. I haven't listened to enough marches.

I'm not very sure. I only know it by hearing it. But here is what little clues i have:
I bet a LOT of people heard it.
It was on a comercial on MTV a few months ago (maybe a year). I don't remember exactly what it was about ... but i could describe what images i have left in my mind from that comercial.

There was a woman who was holding a hammer & sickel (i think). And several scenes in which a star would apear and she (i don't remember how) would make them disapear. (there was something written on the star ... maybe an intrest rate/price or smthing) And there were several scenes in which bigger stars apeared.
In the final scene she was standing on this huge star that she doesn't notice. So the comercial ends with her standing on a branch of that star in the hammer&sickel "position". And of course after this a "Call 0800 xxxx xxxx".

Btw, during all those scenes there is that guy's voice. (that is in all insurance & stuff commericals)

That's all i have about it. (i think)
I hope maybe SOMEONE that watches MTV might recognize the commercial and might know more about the song ...

EDIT: OMG, varwnos guessed it. :goodjob:

how about the March of Mephisto by Kamelot

;)

Sorry, it was actually "dance of the knights", and the name is 'Prokofiev'! :D
That's better. :p Found it. :)

March of the Knights was by Rossini, which is cool also. :)
