Cool! Very interesting. Surprised Canada is so high - as many Civ players as the UK and more than Germany despite both countries I thought having a higher population.

What's the country at number 4? Name is missing.

That is the country of - . They are a secretive people. Especially about what their country's name is. There are rumours though.....

I see from the geo-histogram that one poster is from Romania, but was it he (who must surely in this case be male) who chose the user-name Pula ? If not, he'll be either amused or offended by that choice. I know that there's a town of that name on the Adriatic coast, but in Romanian it's a rude word. To parody Michael Caine, not a lot of (English) people know that.

I borrowed Civ 2 from a friend once or twice, and I liked SMAC quite a bit, but got bored of Civ 3 REAL quick, so I didn't bother getting the expansions. Civ 4 is a much much MUCH better fit for me than Civ 3 ever was :D

Civ1 3 and 4. Maybe did CiV 2 but have no recollection of it. No expansions or any of that. Will for sure get the CiV 4 expansion when/if there is one.

This histogram is exactly what I expected. This histogram could be applied to pretty much any game in existance. Of course there will be some outliers, but the core of gamers these days is typically 15-27 years of age. Not saying it's not great that there are some older gamers...just repeating some stats that I've heard.

Sorry, forgot the important part.

Civs since Civ I first came out - Tactics II by Avalon Hill about 1960 (I'm not so sure Civ 4 is much of an advancement except in that it has Religion)

About the Number of Canadians playing Civ 4: if'n you lived in Canada and it was Winter what would be doing when you weren't playing hockey? This large number could also be interpreted as evidence of supperior sagacity of people who live under the influence of the Northern Lights, eh?

Civ II, III, IV
Was heavily addicted to Civ II but didn't like III so much. IV, however, is making Civ II seem like Pong :)
I remember a friend showing me Civ I back in maybe '91 or '92...I was intrigued, but was more into console games at the time.

well, not one single gamer of my country, can't have it stay that way.
