Saw Forrest Gump the other night on TV.

Watched the last three episodes of Sopranos series 3, with Junior singing Core 'Ngrato. Was good. I need money for the only season that I haven't got, season 4.

Within the past few weeks I've seen Sin City, Evil Dead 2, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I really want a Doom II arcade cabinet now.:crazyeye:

Has anyone seen a good cop (detectice?) movie lately?

and by cop movie I mean a movie where the the good guy (cop) investigates something and in teh end gets the bad guy/guys. preferably one without a serial killer in it, I dont want a thriller, but some action is alright.

I havent seen any good ones in a long long time, Im jonesing for one.

I watched the remastered directors cut of Blade Runner on the weekend.
I also watched My Super Ex-Girlfriend which was a bit of a let down, but the part with the shark saved it for me.

I have been watching Band of Brothers lately - got the series for Christmas.

Awesome. I own that series as well, though I haven't watched the whole thing yet. :)

I saw a large part of sin city.

I think that it has managed to take the position that Supernova used to have, as the most pathetic film i ever saw... :shake:
How could you not like it ? It was great. :p

Even imdb gave it an 8,4 and it's no. 65 in the top 250 all time movies.

The photography & direction (and to a degree the acting as well) in the second story were nice, and i suspect it was pretty much a scene by scene adaptation of the comic (which i have never seen/read) but the script was unbelievably stupid (i suspect this is due to Miller writing it) :/
The characters are nothing more than sketches, and bad ones at that too.
The stories had no depth at all. I have seen episodes of Pinky & the Brain with more depth than that. :crazyeye:

They were "simple" because they were from comic books.

See above reason.

See above, above reason.

That's what you should apreciate in this movie. Pure simplicity and less of the fancy stuff almost all of today's movies show us.
