One thing I always enjoyed about the Fixx is their guitarist's unique style. The album Reach the Beach is rife with catchy hooks and an overall unique sound that is less evident in some of their later work (Calm Animals is terrible IMHO).

This is a fantastic example of what I mean by unique guitar style, and it is actually one of my favorite ever songs:

Yeah, Reach the Beach is actually the only album of theirs I bought. (I also have fond memories of Streets of Fire. I wonder how it holds up all these years later...)

A song, which I've never heard before, from the sixties used in the Big Bang Theory episode : 'The collaboration fluctuation'

Turtles - 'Happy together'

some classics from the sixties

A Whiter Shade Of Pale - Procol Harum

The Animals - The House of the Rising Sun

Zombies - Time Of The Season

The Empire State Building performing "Touch of Grey"

The song every 13 year old boy hoped for to ask for a dance

 :old:

Well, not really? :) There are even metal album covers by H.R.Giger, so i am not seeing this as a contender.

But nothing can be more appropriate and fit the music better than this. Looks like something drawn with a great deal of effort on the inside cover of a highschool workbook in 1983, by a kid with more enthusiasm than talent and more talent than experience. Which is probably not far off.
