I’m listening to Gangastagrass, a bluegrass / rap fusion. I’m not real impressed. Both bluegrass and rap are very assertive styles, but this band seems to play it too middle of the road. I’d rather they lean into both the bluegrass and rap sides more, rather than play what’s basically watered-down contemporary folk.
So I was listening to What's Going On the other day, and I thought "Jesse L. Martin really needs to play Marvin Gaye before it's too late." (Martin is 48 and Gaye was 44 when he was killed.) So I look up IMBd, and sure enough... Anyway:
