It's worth restarting for. I genuinely cannot deal with playing no-BAT. I started a game before I did mods after my last reinstall because I was impatient and I couldn't stand it.

It will break your save. You will have to start a fresh game if you use it, unfortunately. But you can finish your current game without using it even if you install it. You actually have to run the mod to get it to work, so it won't affect your current game at all.

I tried Linux briefly but it involved too much command-line for me. Command-line is my nemesis.

If you get the right distro you'll rarely have to face the command-line console.

But yes, Linux can get tricky at times. Still, no complaints from me.

Yeah. It's BAT/BUG merged with one of the better known AI improvement mods.

The BAT installer says it can't tell what version of the game I'm using. I'm reinstalling the patch just to make sure that it's patched.

EDIT: Reinstalling the patch worked. Maybe I forgot to install it in the first place. That wouldn't surprise me.

If it's a Steam version, the installer might not work. Try the zip file. If that doesn't work, PM me.

Right on time! I was just thinking that I needed a new reason to hate Steam.

I actually have the no-DRM version that came on DVD. I got it for my 17th birthday. I'm 27 now.
