I found my old copy of Sim City 3000. Doesn't quite run properly under windows 10 though.....

@Broken_Erika - It uses SuckyROM, which Windows 10 removed support for. You'll need a modified executable. Or buy a copy on GOG when it goes on sale.

Is that why it runs like i'm running it on a Pentium 60?(i.e. slow as mollasses)

Huh. In my case, I couldn't get it to launch at all.

Try changing the processor affinity. Some games have trouble with multicore processors.

Still better than dungeon Keeper, which ran almost perfect, except that all the colours had been scrambled. Very Psychedelic.

If you run out of video memory in the Sims 2 (which can easily happen because it has trouble detecting modern video cards), everything starts flashing Pepto-Bismol pink.

Actually, to get the Sims 2 to even run right on Windows 10 without stuttering, I had to use both Graphics Rule Maker to increase video memory and the 4GB Patch to make the game large-address-aware.

I've been trying to watch SimCity 3000 Let's Plays and they're all garbage. Most of the streamers are not any good and it turns out that even with the good ones, it's just not a very watchable game. The gameplay tends to consist of opening and closing windows 5 times a second to check on your stats and that's not fun to watch.

Aimee, does GOG let you gift games directly to people across regions or did it go the way of Steam where they claim they can't change pricing based on a user's region and you have to buy gift cards instead?
