My HDD failed like a year ago and I lost a ton of Skyrim mods I've downloaded from the Nexus (which then I've modded myself to suit me better). Lost many hours of careful selecting and playtesting and adjusting mods and ... I vowed never to play Skyrim again but that Enderal looks quite intriguing hmmm.....:hmm:

Press the turbo button.

I remember my first computer 486DX2 ~60 MHz had a turbo button !! It was like ~30 Mhz and ~60Mhz with turbo button pressed on ! :)

tried playing more Civ 6 and got my ass kicked on warlord difficulty :/

my reccomendation is to not play TSL Japan

The first few levels sort of suck - difficult enemies, aimless wandering, and no idea what is going on in the plot - but once you get to Riverville the game starts taking off.

I don't remember this part the last time I played.

its in the tutorial ... the character generation part... usually once you get a character, you don't want to repeat it.
its where the emperor gets assassinated and you get the quest to deliver his necklace to his forgotten son the last remaining heir

I know that. I just don't remember the part where the emperor's bodyguards get into a swordfight in my prison cell

My fondest memory of that prison cell is using the console to unlock the doors so I could go across the hall and beat the snot out of the obnoxious neighbor.

I will have to try that... but it 'looked' to me you were further down along the path just before he gets killed... my mistake, who won the fight

Did you play through the Dark Brotherhood (I think) questline?

Lately i am finding videogames increasingly boring. Many times i switch on my computer and stare for several minutes at Windows desktop thinking on what game to run. Then i turn the PC off again and open a book or play some chess in the smartphone.

Only game i have been playing ultimately is Fallout VR.

yeah dark brotherhood in oblivion is fantastic. what's also great is the crazy questline where you are teleported into a picture.

Even I've heard about that one and I've never actually played Oblivion!

No I never did. I suspect I missed out, but modding Oblivion into a playable state is such a project that I doubt that I'll be getting back to it.

They were all immortal so it just went on forever until I reloaded.

I think I know what happened. I was playing some Oblivion overhaul, which adds a roach to the cell. I punched it which made it aggressive and then the guards attacked it. I guess one of the guards must've accidentally hit another one, leading to that.

aimee, what do you use to record?

FRAPS, generally.

Did you play through the Dark Brotherhood (I think) questline?

Not yet. My first character was generally super-moral, but I wrecked that save by flooding Anvil with daedra hearts. I'm playing a slightly more shady character this time, so maybe.

If You didn't and plan to play Oblivion again do not read the spoiler ;)

Spoiler :
If You follow Brotherhood storyline You get to kill him yourself ! :D

I'd been planning to eventually grab the GOG version of SimCity 2000, but I just learned it was the inferior DOS version. So I dug out my old Special Edition disc. Used this to get around the 16-bit installer and save/load bug. Works perfectly fine on Windows 10, 64-bit...so long as you don't run on African Swallow speed.

I went through a phase like this a couple of months ago. It passed.

I hope yours does too.

aimee, please specify whether the swallow is laden or not.

I am glad that you do not count chess in the smartphone as a videogame.

I am also finding RPGs where my god-like character, after a 100 or so battles, can use arcane dragon-killing fireballs (i.e. Ryūjin Tenshō!) once per turn very gladdening.
